Target USA Now Shipping To Canada

Target store front

Those of you still mourning the loss of Target stores in Canada may be happy to hear that they have opened up their US website to international shipping!

Ok it is not the same as having a neighbour store, you don’t get to pick up a Starbucks drink while you shop, get receipt coupons or pricematch but those items you can’t find here and really miss being able to grab at Target?   They show pricing in Canadian dollars and use a system for prepayment of duties/taxes so there are no surprises when your package is delivered.

Full exclusions for international orders are free shipping (including for REDcard holders), free returns, gifts/gift cards with purchase, gift wrap services, Cartwheel offers, subscriptions, registries, coupons, store pickup, warranties, and extended service plans.

Nope, especially not with a $30 shipping charge for some makeup I put in my “cart”

No kidding, I put a $10 bottle of prenatal vitamins in my cart and they wanted no duties…but $29!!! s&h…smh, so much for that, they can keep them!

this is worst website -you are better of buying from Aliexpress. Way to go Target! Expensive shipping plus overpriced products. We can compare items and most of them are double the price from US target.

Note that the cost of shipping might seem high, but they would always have some kind of deal between Black Friday and Christmas.

I’m sad over the loss of Target not just because of shopping and their great service. All the empty stores they left behind are making the Toronto suburbs very ghetto-ish.

I certainly don’t want to give them my business after the way they treated our Canadian suppliers by declaring bankruptcy and refusing to pay any of their invoices on their way out of the country. I thought that was pretty shabby of them. They weren’t bankrupt, they just didn’t want to absorb the huge loss they incurred by not offering Canadians the selection and prices they’re known for south of the border. They bilked our businesses and tradespeople out of millions and in the end, didn’t keep their commitment to their hard-working Canadian employees, so why on earth should we give them any more our hard-earned money? They don’t deserve it after what they did!

I have been to the US 3 times this summer, and each time it gets easier and easier for me to NOT step into a Target store. I refuse to reward their shitty behaviour in Canada.

I’m sure I sound petty, but there are so many other options in the States to make purchases at.

They were an excellent option for us in Canada, they were unique for us. Target was my happy place. I was there 2-3 times a week.

They were never serious about Canadian customers. Their head honcho Fischer had in fact stated to the media that if Target Canada didn’t have what Canadians wanted, then Canadians should simply shop at their US stores.

I overlooked that callous statement at the time. I was a gal in love! I just can’t give them my hard saved money when I am in the states. It feels wrong.

    rant over ;p

  7. Anne says:

Who in their right mind would shop there? Way too expensive! I’ll keep my money in Canada.

  8. Clee says:

Is everything on clearance like how it was in Canadian stores?

In very tiny print at the top of the page on the left hand side a pop-up explains that there is NO free shipping, etc, etc, to International destinations…so Target is not a site that I would recommend!
