…The Brick has a sale every week, have you missed the constant ads for the past decade or more?

Trust me, you’re getting the same deal on their good whether on sale or not. My neighbours both work at the Brick store in my town and say that you’ll get a better deal than any sale at the Brick by going in when they’re dead and haggling over the price of the item(s) you want…
That’s not my bag personally, but it just goes to show that these 90% off sales aren’t really that great of a deal, it’s the same stuff for the same(ish) prices.

    Thanks for the feedback Higgins.
Maybe that’s why I don’t personally shop at “commissioned” places
but hoping a few others could find a good deal

I don’t care for the Brick and will not give them any of my business. 2 years ago I purchased an expensive bedroom set that was not on sale because I got married. My hubby and I decided to buy the extended warranty AND the extra padding thing that supposed to keep dust away from the mattress so in case we need to replace the mattress then it’d be covered – that’s what the saleman said. Well not even a year later the frame broke so we called CS and they won’t replace it even though it stated in the extended warranty!! Anyway, after so many calls and arguements we got fed up and I contacted the local TV station here that has a secment calls “Troubleshooters” or something like that and whoala the Brick called back and agreed to change the frame. I will never buy anything from the Brick – NEVER EVER AGAIN!! Their furnitures are cheaply made and expensive.

  4. itsjustmebub says:

wow Purdee, don’t you just hate when customer service completely fails? that sucks

  5. Sally says:

Yes unfortunately the brick is one of those stores that uses these kind of advertising tactics quite often. They make it out to be a huge sale but it really isn’t.

  6. Robin says:

The Brick here also has Emergency Tent Sales every single week. Our Brick is located on a very buy street and they actually put the merchendise on the front lawn. I don’t really want a sofa covered in exaust!

  7. Mr. Truth says:

Never go to The Brick. There post sales: delivery and service is absolutely abysmal. You can’t count the number of horror stories I’ve heard about the Brick. They should be shut down.

  8. itsjustmebub says:

    Abort!! Abort!!
    LOL

Looks like we’re a club! I absolutely will not set foot in a Brick store…the one here in Sudbury is so poorly run…the sales people stand around chatting with each other, and heaven forbid you have a question, you feel like you’re intruding on their quality time with each other! I don’t know who shops there or how those salespeople pay their bills, but the CS is non-existent!
We’re always been fortunate at Leon’s (although I dislike their ads)…great service, delivery spot-on…excellent all the way.

    The Brick…horror story..
I had an account with these folks aceepted their extended warranty & payment protection plan…I fell ill was on disability this is when the plan he “payment protection plan” was to kick in.

I didn’t meet their criterion so they continued charge $35 extra (asked them to remove it)/ per month plus all of their revolving interest, by the end of it all my $3K purchase was now up in the $7K range.

I was offered a settlement of $2,500 when I returned to work to which I offered to pay in full on the spot, they advised me to pay in installments as it would look better on my credit rating score.

After paying all the money aggreed, my Equifax still showing $7K balance, when I called them they said the $2,500 settlement was to ensure that I was not sued !! This was unjust and unethical, I will never shop there again.

    ANGRY CUSTOMER

dont ever listen to the sales people in the store on how to pay back an account…. this is all done by the finance company that actually finances your purchases. and these companies have NO problem with you paying in lump sum early or in installments….. as long as its done on time….

dont fall for the payment protection…. generally a scam….

My dad and I were looking for couches, cheap furniture, and a new fridge when we moved to our new house. We went to MANY stores for the fridge, and at the Brick, most of the fridges were SUPER expensive!! But at Leons, we found the perfect fridge, and even though it was on sale the week before and not at the time we wanted to buy it, the employee went to ask his manager if he could give it to us for the sale price (Difference of almost $300!) and he said yes!!!! My dad was really happy. Even for furniture overall, the Brick is sooooooooooooo expensive.

    The Prick Tenting Sale.
We get a hardon thinking of all the money you will pay on a 21% revolving credit not before 2012.

  14. Nearly a Brick shopper says:

Thanks guys, you all saved me some time and effort. I heard about the sale from a friend and was thinking of going. Now, I won’t even go to that place to have a look.

  15. never again says:

LMAO!!!….yup sales flags, tents and banners anything to suck in a consumer and give them nothing better than horrible service. Purchased a sharp looking leather living room set, only to have it replaced 3 times due to fading and seams splitting. After weeks of negotiating with CS on the next needed exchange (we were changing colors due to the fading/color changing issues) the store would not deliver it to our home. I told them to keep it and we fully furnished our new place from Leon’s. Great products and even better prices. Not bad for a place that used to be a grocery store!!

  16. JLL says:

    The Brick or Leon’s?
My brother is looking for a cheap futon. Which is better then the air matress he has been using for 2 years. He’s going to buy it outright. Since hes not spending a whole lot, and will not be using their credit. Should he still go there? Anyone have any suggestions wher he could find one?
