Love when stores do gift card promotions. Now at The Children’s Place, you will get a $10 coupon for gift card purchases of $40 or more. The coupon is to be used on purchases of $40 or more and is valid through the end of December. If you are buying the gift cards for your own use, it works out pretty perfectly with both the gift card and the coupon purchase needing to be at least $40.
This is an in store promotion only and is running through til November 24.
I fell for this prank. I bought the $40 gift card and received the $10 off coupon. So I thought great, now I can buy the kids some jeans. Uh no, you can’t. You CANNOT use the $10 off coupon with your purchased gift card (or even if someone gifted you this gc). I spoke with 3 different CP employees along with the manager of the store arguing with them asking them where it states on the fine print that I cannot use the $10 off coupon with the $40 giftcard. They all looked at me like a dear in headlights and said they received a memo from head office stating so. Well that’s not good enough for me. As a smart shopper I expect rules, but if its not stated on the back how are we as the consumer suppose to know?
