I bought a playbook 2 weeks ago from the source for $299 so when I saw the flyer I called and they said no problem, just call on Boxing Day and they’d refund the $100. Very nice customer service! Incidentally walmart has them for $198 but I don’t think you can order them online, only by going to the store and it will be crazy!
@Carol – You can purchase the Playbook on the WalMart website! The sale is already live and the $198 deal is available.
got this last mth for my dad- can’t use skype on it if you’re into video chat only with other playbook users.

Good luck to anyone who ordered a playbook from the source for boxing day. I ordered one of the bundles with a case the last time they were on sale and went through hell to try and get it from them. I ordered it Nov 26 and didn’t receive it until Dec 23. Every time I phoned I kept getting a run around and different stories with promises that it would be shipped in 24-36 hrs, and nothing was ever shipped. At no point did I ever receive any communication from the source that my item was shipped or on backorder or any updates, other than a generic email sent that there would be a few days delay with some of the black friday orders due to the amount of orders received. In the mean time other playbook orders had already been shipped to the store, as each time I called after the promised 24-36 hour shipping window they received others but mine was never there. From day 1 their website said they had stock. It got to the point where on Dec 22 when their boxing day flyer came out I called to complain that they put them on sale again, but still hadn’t fulfilled orders from the first sale. At that point finally one supervisor took pity on me because they had stock and I was getting jerked around for so long, she went to the warehouse herself to pull the playbook and ship it to the store, finally arriving the next day. Luckily, I was able to get a price adjustment for the boxing day sale without any issues from them. Bottom line, I will NEVER order from the source online again.
