Thanks for the posting but this is not a great deal, unless you use rechargeable batteries. This line of chargers from Energizer was discontinued a few years ago and I think a lot of stores got stuck with overstock like we are the Superstore. We liquidated them trying to sell them off. If you make sure your batteries are always topped up, this might be a good deal for some people.
I dont quite understand, future shop and a lot of other places still carry and sell them. You’d be silly to use regular batteries in them lol. Loblaws and stores under that franchise liquidate their products on a regular basis. I just got a dvd player there for 10 bucks.

You can use either, but the point of it is PORTABLE power. I was on a flight recently overseas and my iPod went dead. Well there is no place to charge it on a plane in the middle of an ocean, and with ipods you can’t just change a couple batteries like the old days with walkmans etc. So I plugged my ipod into my little energizer thing (I had the right tip which I think I bought separately (couple years ago), and now I have power to make it for the rest of my trip. That itself made it totally worth it for me! Great for camping or anywhere you don’t have any power outlets to charge personal devices. (I also kept it in my beach bag, so if blackberry, ipod, kid’s little gaming thing, went dead, NO problem!!! It’s a good deal. Back when I bought mine they were actually $50, not 40.
Thanks for the info Sally & Pam! I’m surprised to see them still being sold at stores like Best Buy, the rep we had told us that Energizer was getting rid of them. Maybe it was just for our stores. It’s great to keep in the know about these things 🙂
This is designed as portable power option for your phone. It is not designed for rechargeable batteries as they need to be charged. It is best used with the Energizer Lithium batteries. The purpose of this is to provide portable, supplemental power to your phone when you need it… in those pinches when your phone is about to die. On a pair of Lithium batteries, you will get at least one full charge. Keep is as a back-up. Oh, you can buy AA batteries almost anywhere, so if your batteries die, you can easily replace on the go. This is a great item to have as back up.
