The deal is okay… good if you’re interested in 3D I suppose. Personally, I can’t stand those 3D movies.

I’m in Ottawa and my boyfriend just went to the source and asked about the deal and they also had no idea about the bundle. They have it online for $1699 but that’s it. We tried all the stores in Ottawa and no one has heard of it.
We are in Ottawa as well-I told this deal to my husband who literally ran out of the house to check it out. The first “The Source” he went to said they have no clue what he was talking about. When he got home I encouraged him to phone around. 2 other locations confirmed the deal, however they also confirmed that we had missed it by several hours. Hopefully they have the deal again. Great post- and hopefully more of us can cash in next time.

Personally, I don’t think the 3D fad will last. I’m with Ray… no interest in 3D. Re the deal… how is it that only a handful of stores even knew about the deal?

There is no online ad. This deal was sent to me from The Source to post. They need to call head office.

So, in the spirit of worthy SC posts, I’ll let you know the details. After getting the television SKI (or is it SKU?) number, I called a couple locations. One service rep offered to look up inventory in the area. He said there was one location with one television left. I stopped by first thing in the AM and snagged it.
Essentially, the deal is to get rid of any store models left in store. So, if you happen to walk into a location and you see the TV it’s probably on sale and possibly unadvertised. When I bought it, there was a sign that said it’s for sale for 1350ish, but that’s because he had not yet taken it down.
Also, the guy had to work extra hard to find any bundles in the region, but he was a pretty solid sales rep and he found everything.

-said bundle (includes shrek 1, 2, 3, 4, and two additional pairs of glasses).
