No I’m not kidding! Yes, this lovely strategy game is reduced to $9.99! (regular price $59.99) but hurry up before they run out of stock.
Some of you might argue that this game can be downloaded – illegally - via torrents. Other than the ethical issues and the fact that the developers put tremendous effort into the game, I just wanted to let you know that the full version will enable you to play online multiplayer games against other humans. Pirated versions don’t usually allow multiplayer gaming. I tend to enjoy multiplayer games more; Artificial Intelligence can never provide the same human experience.
This deal is part of The Source’s Daily Circuit breaker deals.
I’ve owned this game since the release date. In fact, I own two copies. (One came with a processor I bought afterwards.) Anyway, the first one I bought was around… $60ish. The second, while free, came with a $1300 processor. Either way, it’s a great deal. The game rocks, though since I’ve discovered Civilization IV, I’ve been playing it less and less.
I find Microsoft Age of Empires III a gazillion times more entertaining that Civilization IV. Turn based strategy is just too unrealistic. Real time strategy rocks!
Lazy Canadian, have you played AOE I or II? I used to play AOE since 1998 and in the first AOE I actually ranked in top 1000 on the zone.com. AOE II was a lovely game too. Age of Mythology was boring. Alright, maybe AOE III wasn’t as good as its predecessors but it still very enjoyable. One of my other favourites is Rise of Nations. RoN is a masterpiece. It only suffered from a terrible multiplayer interface which sort of ruined the game.
