Today’s doorcrasher from TheSource.Ca is a HP 10.1″ Mini Netbook for $199.99 (regular $399.99). I’ve been wanting to get a netbook for myself and this caught my eye. The blue one is so cute! The website does say that it’s a store demo and the packaging may be slightly damaged, but it still comes with the full manufacturer’s warranty.
Features
Intel Atom N450 processor
1GB RAM
160GB SATA Hard Drive
10.1″ LED Screen
Windows 7 Starter
thanks for the headsup. I got it for $229.10 (with tax and eco tax) shipped to the store. There is a 1 yr manuf. warranty, plus you can also get an additional 2yrs from the source for $139.99. Oh and there is no discount on this product, still a great deal though.
I bought an HP mini about a year ago…. I love it.
i was thinking of getting one of these for my kids (6 year old)…are these good for kids?
This netbook was available for $169 at staples last week, not sure if it still is.
I got one of these HP Mini 110-1030 for $199 earlier this year. It wouldn’t boot up and was suggested by The Source to contact HP in order to get it fixed. After three months and sending the notebook to HP, it finally works…until the battery check indicated a failure. Of course being a demo, The Source couldn’t guarantee a working battery. So it was back to HP. Even though dealing with the HP call centre in India is a BIG pain in the ass, they came through. Which I can’t say much for The Source. Seems they hide behind the ‘store demo’ excuse to be liable for anything that goes wrong with their merchandise. But they’ll give you a full refund…if its within 10 days.
I don’t get this…it says “store demo”, but you can’t get them instore…only online…so, my question is, did every Source store get one, and then it got sent back to the warehouse or wherever they send them back to, and THEN it is offered online as a store demo??
That sounds kind of fishy to me….I think I will go back to Staples, they were on sale there for 170.00 I believe last week.
I was just at Staples and they didn’t have it for $170 anymore. The only HOP netbook they have is on for $249.
HP, my bad.
