Just a heads up… we bought some of the Driscoll’s raspberries last night at the 2 for $5 price and they are AWFUL! Barely half of them were edible and they leak all over the place.
Sorry to put a damper on a great deal 🙁

Berries this year are all pretty bad. I heard it is because it is too hot. Global warming. Driscoll is from California, I think. I also tried some local Ontario strawberries. They are tasteless (like eating soft cucumbers) and emits odor like paper white plant.

    oh dear

Even the local ones I bought were not very good (and more expensive). However, the strawberries this year were fab. And the corn is not bad. (Locally always tastes much better because it is fresher — even if it is just a bit more money).

By the way, has anyone noticed that the grocery prices have just taken a huge leap? The newspapers said it would happen and I’m finally noticing an increase in almost everything now. Stuff that was 99cents/lb is now $1.29/lb and hidden increases of 10 or 20 cents or more is on almost everything except the obvious loss litres.

By the way, Shoppers Drug Mart also has the Gilette Fusion razors on for $9.99, but they are a special (Tiger Woods) ‘golf’ package that comes with a collector’s golf tee and a free battery. Use the save.ca coupon, and it is free.
