Tim Hortons Canada to Improve Cup Lids

Announcements

Tim Hortons Canada has announced that they will release new and improved cup lids! Customers have been complaining about their leaky lids for many years. “If we don’t make these adjustments, we will fall back in time,” President Alex Macedo said. “The only people who are going to be pissed off are dry cleaners and car-washing companies. They will wash fewer shirts and fewer cars.”

Do you have issues with with the lids?

Now they only need to improve their coffee!

I came to say this… you beat me to to. Kudos.

    • Doug C says:

why don’t they try getting the order straight then worry about the lids–nothing like drinking the wrong coffee from a cup with a great lid

  2. Anna Michel says:

I found the coffee leaked because the cups were dented, wasn’t an issue with the lid.

  3. DaveG says:

Good thing! McDonald’s coffee lids are way better made. They should do something like this or similar.

  4. Tina says:

Call me old-fashioned, but I’m surprised the president of a major company would use an expression such as “pissed off” in an official statement.

    • BHL says:

@Tina: Would explain the taste of their coffee, no? 🙂

    • Bill says:

@Tina. Now that Tims is owned by a USA company, the language fits right in with the way the USA president they currently have acts, Along with Pi$%ing contests between the Canadian Franchises, and the Head Office.

They have been aware of this situation for years! In addition the stores in the gas stations needs to put doors on the display cases due to the drive thru window being open all the time the FLIES are eating for free another issue they have been aware of my last question why does ur store in gas stations throw away the left over product why not donate the food such a shame as so many ppl are hungry.

    • pettyfan4343 says:

Pauline, the reason that most companies toss out old food is liability. No company wants the bad press, or lawsuits if someone was to get sick.

About 20 yrs ago, I had a bread route with a major bread company in Canada, I would see them throw out hundreds of loafs of bread that never even see a shelf in a store, So I asked why not donate it to a food bank,
They said the company would rather make a donation to the food bank, than take a risk of someone getting sick. from free product.
