Some of our forum members have posted that Tim Hortons will be offering free donuts for their 50th anniversary on May 17th.
Some interesting facts from Tim Hortons history:
- 1964: First Tim Hortons opens. A coffee and donut cost $0.10
- 1976: The first Timbit is served
- 1996: The first bagel is served
- 2010: Tim Horton’s introduces breakfast sandwiches
These promotions are usually a free donut when you buy any drink, but the exact details have not been confirmed yet and it is rumoured to be no purchase necessary. Thanks to Anna Michele & blondie99 for the information.
Update: This freebie offer has now been confirmed. There is a limit of one free birthday cake donut (not donut of your choice) per guest at participating Tim Horton’s locations. Click here to find a participating location.
Ohhh this is perfect. I usually order a coffee by itself but I wouldn’t mind a free donut with it! Hope this is happening at my local Timmies.
Breakfast sandwiches were introduced in 2007. I was working there at the time.
I thought they had been around longer Esron but that is from their birthday info
They were giving out free donuts and coffee at yonge and dundas square today!
