If you’ve travelled to the UK, you’ll be familiar with their cool concept stores. It sort of reminds me of Forever 21, with the store set up based on the different “looks”, but the quality is much better. It’s basically a huge department store for women’s clothing + accessories! Men, don’t fret because they have Topman too. 🙂
(If you don’t plan to buy anything, it’s still a good idea to check out their trends as the Brits are more fashion-forward!)

I dunno, I was in London a couple of months ago, and specifically went to Top Shop with memories of the quality and style of their clothing from a few Christmases ago, when my parents had a place in Reading. The reality of it now was extremely disappointing and somewhat shocking. The quality of the clothing is not particularly high, their stuff all looks like H&M’s crappy versions of high-fashion seasonal items, and the fashions they’re trying to imitate are often awkward, lumpy and difficult to wear – let alone look good in, or stay concurrent in. The looks will date within 6 months, some of them are so wacky. It’s interesting as a museum of what not to wear, but otherwise… 😛
Thanks @Aggie & @Tina for your input! I’ll admit that it has been quite a few years since I’ve stepped foot in a Topshop, so I didn’t realise that the quality has downloaded that much. This is a bit sad to hear! 🙁
I agree, topshop clothes are hard to wear, and i find them overpriced. Sometimes they have really nice items, and a few years ago I would only shop there, but recently, I have definatly noticed the quality go down, and the usability / wearability of the clothes go down, they are very “on trend” sometimes to the extreme. Also remember a UK size 12 would be like an 8 / 10 here.
