Live in the Toronto area and looking for a new furry friend? Toronto Humane and Toronto Animal Services have teamed up with PetSmart Charities again for a mega adoption even this weekend.
All pet adoption fees will be $25 and include having your pet spay/neutered and vaccinated. Anyone who has a pet knows that this can be very costly if you bring home a “free to a good home” kitten or puppy, especially at city vet prices so this is a great deal.
You can adopt if you are not a Toronto resident, and Toronto residents will be required to buy a pet license with their adoption fee ($15-25 and required by city bylaw). To choose your pet, visit the Mega Pet Adoption Weekend Event at the Queen Elizabeth Building at the Exhibition Place in Toronto taking place June 5-7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Valid ID is required to adopt a pet from either of these groups and there will be over 700 animals available for adoption!
Remember, a pet is a commitment and you should not just get one because they are cheap!
