Toys R Us has a new program “Gift of play” where if you sign up you will get a $5 card good for use towards all Hot Wheels, Barbie, and Fisher Price toys. Basically it seems its just a newsletter keeping you in the know of new toys and savings with Toys R Us. Click here to sign up. You get a printable coupon in an email. It says Toys R Us Canada on it but the terms on the coupon are pretty vague. Doesn’t hurt to try.

1) I went to toysrus.ca
2) I clicked on the ad for the new program (it was the fifth of the rotating screens)
3) I entered my email address,
4) It said “Thank You”
and then…
nothing… ?
It didn’t work for me using the hotmail address but I used a different one and it did the trick!

Appears to be hotmail related issue for my case. I didn’t get any email inbox or junk when I used Hotmail. But I get the email after using gmail.

I went to use mine today and was told the program doesn’t start until September 1. So, looks like I’ll be going back on Wednesday!
I signed my boyfriend and myself up and so we got two vouchers and we used them today no problem. The manager said you can sign up various email accunt and get many vouchers since there isnt a rule “One per household” 🙂 Also went and used the thomas the train voucher and they cahsier allowed everyone to get as many as they wanted she had preprinted vouchers so my little boy got 4 🙂 $74.63 in toys only cost me $1.73 🙂
Ummm…They took my coupon at the Brampton one. Got a Toy Story 3 Hot Wheels Car for $0.64 (tax).
I found that for those who didn’t get the email, Toys R Us is sending out emails saying “just in case you didn’t get the coupon” they sent it via email. I hope everyone gets good use of this one!

i think it doesnt work anymore, I tried it and bring it to my toysrus today. The code scanned with the $5 coupon but it rejected with the reason “coupon treshold amt not reached” . so I guess they updated the system for the $25 min requirement.
I used mine today and it worked, i used it cause the hotwheels are on sale, i ended up getting 10 of them for free cause i had two of the $5.00 off coupons and my amount was not over $25.00.
