Toys R Us Canada has an abundance of building and learning toys on sale this week, all of which are advertised in this week’s flyer, but the one that caught my attention was this LEGO CUUSOO Research Institute set which is only being sold for $24.99.

This 165 piece set features three mini female figurines, each of them show casing a different scientific profession: a paleontologist, an astronomer and a chemist. Even better, this set was designed by a real live scientist, Ellen Kooijman, who with the help of the LEGO Ideas members (also known as CUUSOO) created the Research Institute to inspire young budding scientists to follow in her footsteps. Included in the set is also a booklet containing information on the three different careers featured in the LEGO set, along with background information on the geoscientest who masterminded the whole production, Ellen Kooijman.

For the younger builder in your family, who may not be up to playing with LEGO blocks just yet, there is also this Mega Bloks – Barbie – Build ‘n Play Ballet Studio on sale for just $9.98 (was $19.99). This is a great price for set which includes a switch that when you flick on, Barbie will spin like a real ballerina! Plus, the set includes a vanity mirror with a backstage partition, a ballet bar, two tutus, a tiara, accessories and a gym bag.

Toys R Us will ship any item to your home for free, if you spend a minimum of $25.
