If you go, I recommend not giving your phone number. That’s all a new mother needs – continuous calls from people trying to sell you stuff.
I never went to the shower, but had a very aggressive woman barge into my house and give me a bag of junk coupons. She was mad I refused to only give her an email. I was forewarned by my sister who received many calls after her visit.
Definitely do not give them your info. The gift bag is a bunch of advertising junk. I was getting phone calls for months from all sorts of different companies. It’s the last thing you want when you are home with a newborn.
