Canadian Deals & Coupons

valuevillage

Value Village is having one of their 50% off clothing sale on Monday, February 8.  The sale will include clothing, shoes, accessories, and items tagged “Bed and Bath.” Sale excludes new merchandise, books and items tagged housewares or furniture.

These sales are always fun to shop because you never know what you’re going to find.  I love the hunt and I know a lot of you do too!

Thanks to divaonadime for this great heads up on this wonderful sale!

Funny, Talize is on the same date, and opening at 7am (Delta location) I love Talize way better than Value Village!

I always enjoy the 50% off sales, but it’s next to impossible to shop at Value Village then because of the crowds of people. Hard to get around all the shopping buggies, dealing with crying babies, long lineups like it’s December 24th, and clothes, etc strewn all over the place. Finding a parking space isn’t easy and the lineup just to get in the door at opening time…No thanks! I avoid it like the plague then. They need to have sales more often than only twice a year. It might help eliminate the congestion and chaos on sale days.

I didn’t realize that it could be that bad…. would it be so early in the morning? My babe is up @ 7:00- so if we go right away… maybe we can have some luck- I am looking for wool sweaters to make felt and some of the fabric in the bed & bath area.

Value Village is usually good around lunch and home time (12pm, 3-4pm) when everyone is rushing to eat lunch/go home 🙂

They’re having it in the theme of the “thrifty 50s”, apparently they are giving out coupons the day of the sale as well with contests to win them

I used to love the 50% of sales, until the one i shop at upped the prices of everythign just before the sale. So i actually ended up spending more.

  12. Longtimelurker says:

Talize in on the corner of 88th and Scott Road I believe (kennedy heights area

  13. cheapcanuck says:

We need a Talize in Toronto! And I have noticed in general that VV has increased their prices. But I still shop there because it’s environmentally friendly to shop 2nd hand and their stuff is well organized usually. The changerooms are super busy on sale days so dress accordingly. Happy shopping!

I’ve actually signed-up for the e-newsletter and had the date added to my calendar (to consider). Nice to know that I am not the only one out there that actually gets excited that a Thrift Store is having a Sale!

  15. Thanks, great post. I wish more blog owners will take the time to properly write and review. Thanks again.
