The past 50% off sales have just been on clothing, shoes, accessories, and items marked bed & bath. Therefore, excluding housewares, books, small electronics, and furniture. So at this point, I’m not sure if it’s gonna be the same deal.
Aside from the date, this is all the info that I currently have, so stay tuned for an update!

It excludes anything marked “housewares”, jewelry, books, furniture, electronics, etc.
I’ve been waiting for this since the last one. I need clothes for work SO BADLY and can’t bring myself to pay $60-$125 for the brands i like. Does anyone know if card members get to go on the sunday like before?
Goodwill is also having a sale. Friday May 4 is 50% off everything excluding all other tagged/priced items. Sun May 6 & Mon May 7 is 75% yellow tag items. See website for full details and exceptions http://www.goodwill.on.ca/.

@Kathleen – YES, if you’re a club card member, you can shop the day-before to take advantage of the sale. HOWEVER, Sundays are probably the worst day to shop since not many stores put out stuff on Saturdays. Some do.
I’d check with your local VV to ask whether you can get the discount the entire Sunday OR just 2-hours prior to closing. It was 2-hours before, then they changed it to the entire day before sale day!
Just in case, that Goodwill sale that was mentioned seems to be only for Ontario. No such luck for Alberta. Check your local site.
Stephania- I was told they are NOT doing the Sunday pre-sale this time for Super Savers Club members.

I was told that there will not be a pre-sale on the Sunday for Super Savers card holders.
The 75% yellow tag sale at Goodwill isn’t only in the GTA. Just called the Ottawa store and they’ll be having the sale Sunday and Monday as well.
Hamilton (ON)does not have Goodwill Value stores but the Burlington/Oakville/Milton ones are not having the GTA Goodwill deals-I called Burlington’s store. Instead, at the end of the month, there is a 50% off week. And there’s no fabric out here, so anyone in Toronto that finds fabric–you’re so lucky!!!!:)

Value Village OP-thanks for sale news-it might be worth a trip to Burlington (I find the Hamilton stores very disappointing).
