I work out “west” (Vancouver-Toronto), we were told to honor this deal as well, though we don’t have the mugs for sale until Dec 1st. Enjoy your coffee everyone!

Now if only the tickets weren’t insanely expensive. Example – Miramichi, NB to Edmonton, AB approx $1200 round trip, a few days trip. Flying – I paid about $900 round trip from Fredericton to Edmonton and took about 8 hours one way. Not to mention, the fact that there is no VIA rail in cities such as Saint John or Fredericton, so even traveling to Halifax or Moncton requires a bus.

Alas Eric, the train was never intended to be competition to planes on speed or cost. It’s for people who want to enjoy their trip, be able to walk around, have amazing meals and amazing sights.

If you want an inexpensive way to get from Miramichi to Edmonton you’ll need to try Greyhound. If you want a beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable trip from Miramichi to Edmonton taking the train sleeper class from Moncton is by far the best way.

It’s like complaining that the Miramichi airport doesn’t have direct scheduled flights to all the destinations you want to travel to. That’s not what that airport is for. Likewise, the train is not intended to be a cost and speed competitor with airplanes.

Think of it like a cruise ship – you don’t use cruise ships to get somewhere fast. You use it for the experience itself as well.

I dunno Scott, the last time I took a train the ONLY nice thing was the scenery. The restaurant had 2 items which each cost about $15, almost nothing in the vending machines, the seats were uncomfortable, and it stunk. I think the last time I enjoyed a train ride was when I was in Grade 11 on a trip to Montreal with my class. That was a while ago. I’d rather fly, or rent a car.

Perhaps the trains have gotten better, but I wouldn’t know, since they don’t exist in this part of New Brunswick for some reason.

hey, this seems like a very promising deal, i am really a mug lover person, as i am located in London, the mugs have been purchasing is very cost effective, they are normally ceramic mugs, custom made as well. In our company also go for promotional mugs to motive employees and also use it as gifts a great way of promotion like this one.
