Planning a weekend getaway anytime between January 21st and March 31st, 2015 for a destination that’s within Canada? If so, then you should probably check out VIA Rail Canada’s sale they’re having this weekend until January 22nd, where they have reduced their economy rates by 50% off. These options would definitely be cheaper than flying, and if you’re not too pressed for time, then they could really be worth your while.

If you’re doing a long-haul trip, you have even more flexibility with when you book, as VIA Rail is extending it for these trips until May 31st, 2015. You will also have to purchase your ticket 5 days in advance to the day that you’re travelling, but other than that the options are pretty flexible!
