re: Sally – nerdy? Hardly. This is hat epitomizes the rugged and adventurous spirit, manly beyond the bounds of Mr.T, or Peter Mansbridge. I’m pretty sure that it was the first hat into space, and I’ve even heard a rumor that a Tilley beat up Chuck Norris in a Guatemalan bar back in ’94. I have seen these backstage on the heads of models in Milan, only to have them yanked off by designers who claim they steal the show. If this is what constitutes “nerdy,” then so too are the Snuggie, Pillow Pets (both a pillow and a pet mind you), Campfire Bacon, and gondolas. True, they can be functional, but your common misconception no doubt derives from the fact that Tilley wearers and unquestionably intelligent, in addition to (I assume) being charming, handsome, and world travellers. I don’t doubt your hubby is just such a person. I may be a simple dog myself, but even I know that when it comes to head wear, nothing compares. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have suddenly realized that there is a tail behind me, and I will not stop until I’ve caught it.

Heading there this morning, but the prices are typically amazing – got the best capris last year…hemp fabric. Reg 120, for 19.99. It truly is worth the trip, and the deals are at least 70% off…
