Will Hatchimals Be Available For Black Friday In Canada?

Are Hatchimals Available on Black Friday in Canada

For those still hoping to get their hands on Hatchimals for the holidays, there is a glimmer of hope.  Walmart released previews of their US flyers and it seems as if they have hidden a secret stash of Hatchimals away for Black Friday.  Fingers crossed that we will see some once we get our hands on the Canadian flyers.

Are Hatchimals Available on Black Friday in Canada - Walmart USA Hatchimals Ad

This is the US ad and not valid in Canada

Starting Thursday at 6pm, Walmart will have Hatchimals for $48.88 US both in store and online.  While we do not have a Canadian sneak peek yet, if you really want one, it may be worth the trip to the US.  At the current exchange, they would be around $66 Canadian, below the pricing we have seen when available up here.  If you have a friend you can ship one to in the US, be sure to have your finger on the order button at 6pm as they will likely go quickly.

It seems like Amazon.ca may have a secret stock of them too.  They recently offered a limited quantity of Hatchimals to Prime members for $100.  While not cheap, they sold quickly.  If they get offered again on Black Friday, they may be available for Prime members only again.  You can sign up for a free trial if you have not had one or ask your friends if they have Prime and are willing to order one for you.  Again, these will sell out fast if available so worth checking constantly.

If we see any available in Canada, we will be sure to let you know!

I think they are more around $80 if you purchase in the US and bring back to Canada 48.88, Canadian conversion approx 1.35, Michigan tax 6%, Canadian taxes 13%, equals close to $80, might be lucky if you don’t pay Canadian taxes.

If you’re in the MetroVan area, it might be worth popping into a Toys r Us once in a while. On Tues, I was looking for Lego and Mega Bloks sets for my niece and nephew, and stumbled upon a bin of 10-15 (Pengueala, Draggle and Owlicorn) just in a bin by the front of the Richmond store. There was no one around, no Hatchimal signs posted, just the price. Ended up buying two. People only started crowding around the bin when they saw I was holding the eggs. I think they just put it out whenever they unload stock. Worth a shot. Good luck!

Hi: thanks for the tip. If you’re not needing both hatchimals, i’d be happy to buy the extra one from you

Sorry Lyn, they’re Christmas presents for my niece and nephew. My niece is the perfect age for it and if I don’t give my nephew one as well, he’ll probably tear the wings off his sisters! 🙂 #Siblings Good luck with the hunt.

If you are buying online from the US Walmart, remember that you can use a ‘ship shop’ in the US, like a UPS store. Check it out in your area before ordering time. Some have really good policy’s (low price pickup) and others are not so good. It means you do not have to cross the border during the Black Friday busy time.

I use a service called CBI USA for US online shopping. It’s a brokerage service and they charge a very small fee for you to have your packages delivered and stored by them. They have a few locations but the one I use is 5 minutes from the border crossing in Niagara Falls. If you use their service, you’ll get charged the NY tax rate on your purchase and CBI will charge a small handling/storage fee.

I’ve used it to buy tires, shoes, purses, housewares, electronics, etc. It’s great if you know what you want to buy and you’re buying several items at one time. They’ll all be there waiting for you.

I was one of those parents who paid an enormous price for the hatchimal and to be honest my 8yr old played with it for all of 10 minutes during the Xmas break. The excitement was only in the hatching. Now it’s ignored. I was lucky to find a furby at my local thrift store for 2 bucks put batteries it it and suprise it works!. She has had more fun with furby than hatchimal. In my opinion it’s much better at playing etc… Regret buying the hatchimal.
