Maybe it’s not quite right to add a comment like this, but let me say: beware, you might just get what you pay for.

I visited Tundra during Winterlicious a couple of years ago. Reheated chicken in burnt sauce, overcooked salmon, indifferent service, and — to top it all off — a refusal to validate parking, despite a message on their Winterlicious page stating that they validate parking!

A phone call the next day made no change. And Tundra isn’t cheap to park at, let me tell you.

In short, I’m sure many restaurants use Winterlicious as a way to showcase their fare to a new segment of diners. Others use it as a pure profit-making venture, and treat the diners with contempt. My suspicion is that, if you’re not interested in the restaurant at their regular price, you probably won’t care for them at the “special” price.

A phone call ahead would be advisable.

I went to Canoe yesterday for Winterlicious. It was AMAZING. I will definitely go again.
The service was impeccable. The food is planned to tantalize your mouth. Even the cocktails are a WOW!
Even with the Winterlicious prices it was expensive for a lunch- plus 28.00 for parking!! But well worth the money I must say.
I will be thinking about it for days I’m sure.

Natalie – $28 for parking?? Where did you park? You should check out green p parking before going again. And ya, Canoe is a really popular one, it books up fast every year.

We parked underground at the td building. We had no time to shop around as we were already a half hour late. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the price though.
