Yo Harper

Removed my comment because some people have to link everything to boring politics. Just enjoy the video and forget about politics.

It’s been time to elect someone new the day him and his party won.

  2. Yo Yo says:

Can’t blame Harper for this one… it looks like Bush is trying to look cool around someone who is cooler than himself.

  3. Good AL says:

    LOL…haha…that is hilarious…..Yo Harper….haha….Best Freebie ever 😉

    Yo Harper…Dubya here…lets um…reduce those green house stuff…you know what I mean…..

Harper: Aight aight…..that’s cool Dubya 🙂 I’m down with that…..

    OMG…….

  4. Skippy says:

For what they are worth, according to the latest polls, Harper would
    easily be re-elected.
To equate Bush+Harper=Iraq is unfortunately fear mongering.

  5. ergo2 says:

    I agree with Khristopher.

  6. Mike says:

I thought this website was about coupons, not your whiny political agenda

  7. BENJI says:

Hmmmm …. so when did a site that gives us hints on deals and how to save money turn into a politcal rant site? I find it offensive to see such left-wing garbage on a site I check for coupons! Take your sarcastic mud slinging somewhere else!!!

  8. Dave says:

It always make me laugh when I see right-wing people looking for coupons 😆

As for the topic, as long as the governement stays as minority, I’m happy with it.

Anyway between Dion and Harper, do you really think you have choice? 😛

  9. Dustin says:

Is this really appropriate for this site? There isn’t even any intellectual value to this comment or any political realism. Give me a break!

  10. Boo Radley says:

I’m not into politics nor do I care about politics. I think all political parties suck 😛

I just thought the video was funny. As for my comment, well I look at Harper as our PM, not as a member of a political party 🙂

  11. Marc says:

Boo, you should be ashamed of yourself. Move to Sudan, Iran, or Mauritania; perhaps that will convince you to “care about politics”. Our grandfathers didn’t risk their lives to fight tyranny in order for you to ‘not care’. You sound like a high schooler.

Harper has always staunchly opposed the Iraq war. Who will you vote for in 2009 as an alternative? Stephane Dione?? The party that sent our troops to Afghanistan?? (I’m a registered Liberal party member, and I think Dione was a bad choice for leader) Or perhaps ‘taliban Jack’?

My point is that if you’re “not into politics nor care about politics… think all political parties suck”, my next assumption would be that you don’t KNOW much about politics. I would therefore restrain your commentary and leave it to the experts.

  12. Boo Radley says:

Just because I don’t care about politics or political parties doesn’t mean I don’t respect or care about our troops. I just hate seeing Canadians die.

  13. Marc says:

Then you would have hated reading about Dieppe in the morning paper on August 19, 1942!

Boo, do you know what the taliban is? They are evil. They ban kites, dancing, alcohol, working women, or education for women. They mutilate genitals, do public executions, and bomb nato soldiers that are trying to build schools and do humanitarian work. The taliban are animals; they are uneducated, and run around the countryside shooting guns and planting mines.

I took great pride in my service. I saw hope in the eyes of Afghans who were scared to death of the taliban. And when you type things like what you just typed, it makes me sick and sad. I VOLUNTEERED, along with the rest of my fellow soldiers. I am willing to risk my life to try and make life better for millions of afghans. Are you??? Or are you content to eat mangos year-round, and care less about the thrid world?

I try to make a difference in this world, and try to make life better for the less fortunate. I care about people on the other side of the planet. And yes, I might get shot at or encounter a roadside bomb while transporting food and building supplies. I guess suicide bombers are crazy, becuase they’re will to kill themselves to spread chaos. Maybe I’m crazy, because I’ll risk my life to give science, opportunity, and health that you take for granted.

  14. Skippy says:

Thank you Marc for your dedication, and that of your friends.

  15. Hairsup says:

    Everyone just clam down.
This is just a small food for thought.
If you hate this site so much, then go away.
Stop forcing people to think the same as you are.

    Btw, this video rocks.

  16. Faithn says:

Totally agreeing with you Hairsup. Everyone has their own right to opinions and what they care about. Just because you live and breathe politics, doesn’t mean that we have to, too. At the same time, just because we don’t put politics as priority number 1, doesn’t make us bad people. There are many things in this world that are wrong, and many different perspectives. Don’t judge with your frame of reference. This is just a fun discount-deal hunting site. Let the man post up whatever he wants. He should at least have that freedom after putting so much work into this site for the rest of us.

  17. UBoo says:

Great video! Don’t feel bad about trying to bring a chuckle to people who visit your site. Someone just needed a reason to vent some of his/her steam and you were an easy target. Thanks for having a great blog!

  18. George says:

Why Liberals are interested in a site that saves people money, is a question that most logical people can never figure out. Aren’t the anti-Harper Leftists all clamoring to surrender more of our money and liberty to the government?

Don’t you liberals feel bad when you save money at the expense of not paying your tithe to your vacuous government bureaucracy? Think of the children! Your coupons are killing Canada’s social programs by robbing the government their right to your hard earned money! For shame libs, for shame.

  19. Marc says:

“At the same time, just because we don’t put politics as priority number 1”

What do you think the Palestinians’ first priority is? My point is that, obviously for Boo, politics is NOT a priority at all. This is a problem for many Canadians who’ve grown up in a culture of entitlement.

Churchill said: “The greatest argument against democracy is a 5-minute conversation with the average voter.”

“Everyone has their own right to opinions and what they care about”

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be curt. But I can’t stand hearing when people in a position of power (Boo) have uneducated opinions.

Having said that Boo, thank you for what you do on this site. I like the freebies and goodies. 🙂

  20. Joel says:

Wow, the time people waste writing lame ass comments when all it is is a funny video.

  21. lilad says:

Actually George, you usually have to pay the tax, even on coupons for free items. =]

  22. Olena says:

thank you Boo for posting funny video, a chuckle or two at times are greatly apprecialted.

  23. Rachel says:

It’s Boo’s site he can post whatever he wants.

Marc, I do appreciate your dedication to serving our country, the same way I appreciate my husband’s dedication to serving our country. However you are talking about the Taliban and Afghanistan and Boo was talking about Iraq. They are two completely different situations. You can support one without supporting the other.

Leftists are hardly clamoring to give the government more of our money, we’re just interested in making sure that everyone is taken care of, not just ourselves.

  24. Gauldar says:

It’s ironic that many people can’t tell the difference between the war in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan. Some people think it’s the same war. If they had started in Afghanistan the war probibly wouldn’t be this bloody. I can’t standing listening to this “right-wing/left-wing” BS, and I’m glad I don’t suffer from that single mindedness. As far as Harper goes, if I had to choose between him and Bush I am glad we got Harper.

  25. Eri says:

HOLY COW! I should stop clipping my coupons so I can fully adhere to my leftist roots.

  26. Eri says:

I am not particularly glad we have Harper..we shouldn’t have to settle. He is like a bad boyfriend in the world of politics…I don’t think someone with a Master’s Degree in Economics (and that’s it!) is educated enough to properly run a country. Ideally a leader should be versed in philosophical traditions (yes, they matter, I bet he couldn’t even explain the platonic theory of forms and it is so pertinent to our current state of affairs) and history and whatnot. What does he know? Profit maximization? Those type of people can’t see 5 minutes into the future let alone years and decades..

  27. Marc says:

“However you are talking about the Taliban and Afghanistan and Boo was talking about Iraq. They are two completely different situations.”

    Boo said:

“Just because I don’t care about politics or political parties doesn’t mean I don’t respect or care about our troops. I just hate seeing Canadians die.”

I assume that Boo knows that Canadian troops are not in Iraq. (except for the few who were in the military exchange program) Boo was therefore talking about Canadian involvement in Afghanistan.

  28. Robbie says:

    yo… that is TOO funny.

David Letterman has a feature on every night with Bush’s latest ‘Bushism’ – it’s a hoot. the man has enough material!

  29. Eri says:

What really irks me is when people say “we are defending our country” when ‘we’ are on the offensive in another country…but regardless of politics I think Boo is the coolest!

  30. Marc says:

“What really irks me is when people say “we are defending our country” when ‘we’ are on the offensive in another country”

This doesn’t apply to Canada. Canadians are defending women and children; the weak, the poor and the innocent from the Taliaban, who are the invaders. Canadians are merely helping Afghanistan rebuild.

  31. eri says:

Maybe Canada should focus on it’s own weak, poor and ‘innocent’ women and children, outside the densely populated areas of the country there is a Canada many people fail to acknowledge or see..

  32. Nika says:

Noone can take a joke these days yeesh, Boo was trying to be humourous not drag out pompous butts lol! Eri, I completely agree with your comment about focusing on very rural areas.

Eat drink and be merry it’s the weekend!

  33. Marc says:

No, Boo was not joking. He actually beleived that his comnments were true.

Focus on rural areas? With commodity prices so high, farmers are doing well these days.

Oh, you meant Canada’s aboriginal population on reserves.. Ever heard of Chief Clarence Louie?

  34. eri says:

ooooh one example…I grew up in a small northern community where there is a high number of lupus, colitis and cancer (a high percentage given the number of inhabitants, in the region of maybe 200-400) due to the fact that a large corporation let diesel seep into the ground by overfilling tanks just out of sheer laziness and negligence but did anyone hear about it? nope. And it was recent too, within the last decade..

  35. eri says:

anyway, I am through, you obviously are trying to make up for ‘lacking’ elsewhere by your constant need to have the last word…a great thanks to boo for keeping this site running and awesome…and we’ll leave it ‘to the experts’

  36. Marc says:

    Please dispense with the insults.

I’m lacking?? I give a link that provides an optimistic ideology for ALL poverty-stricken areas in Canada, and YOU posted ONE example.

I give links and hard information. You give nonsensical made-up stories about ‘northern communities’.

If a ‘large corporation’ was negligent, why didn’t you call the Marchant Law group? A lawyer would have embarked on a contingent class action lawsuit, and you’d be rich!

Unless…. the evidence wasn’t there? Or the diseases were linked to… pop, chips, and baloney? (That’s balogna literally AND figuratively..)

Even if your little story rang true, it hardly supports your main point, which you are breaking away from: “Maybe Canada should focus on it’s own weak, poor and ‘innocent’ women and children.” << This is a silly thing to say, and I’m prepared to debate you on it.

  37. Sally says:

Let’s keep it friendly please, no point in mud slinging.
