Zazeen Skinny Basic IPTV Package $9.95/Month

Zazeen Skinny Basic TV

If you have cut the cord but miss the basic channels and can’t pick them up using an over the air antenna, Zazeen has a new Skinny Basic TV plan at a great price if you pay for a full year.

This plan is regularly $19.95 per month but if you order by March 31st, you get Skinny Basic TV for just $9.95 per month and they include your set top box in the price.  Their activation fee is regularly around $50 but did not show in my pre-paid order when I tested the pricing, but you will pay for shipping of the box.  In total, it will be just under $150 for the first year.

The plan includes ABC, CBC, CBS, CHCH, CityTV, CTV, CTV2, Global, NBC,OMNI, Fox, TVO and more and unlike their previous plan, you do not have to subscribe to Acanac internet to sign up to Skinny Basic TV.

This offer is available to select regions in Ontario and Quebec only, full details can be found here.  This TV package does use internet and they recommend at least 300GB per month in bandwidth, so you may want to check your internet package first or you may find you get charged for overage.

Looks ok BUT I can get ALL these stations except YES for free OTA (and they’re all HD). I live in Georgetown so check your location b4 you buy. YMMV.

Thanks Len! Haven’t been able to take advantage of the free digital OTA in my area, but I just bought a digital antenna amplifier for $10. You’re right. I get 12 free channels OTA including Global, CTV, CityTV & PBS, which is all I need.

Depends where you live, we used to get a lot of OTA channels at our old place but when we moved we get less because of the location. We don’t get Fox or NBC for example

Thank you so much! If I switch to Fido home internet and use this Skinny Basic, I’d save nearly $500 a year! Well, I’d have slower connection and fewer channels. Good deal for what I need.
I’d call Rogers to so my annual negotiation first. Thank you for giving me more leverage!

Don’t think this is offered in my area – around Lake Simcoe. We only get one OTA channel and it has weak signal.

This is exactly why we signed up – OTA in our area is short a few channels (including the one that airs our favourite shows) and at $10/month (prepaid for a year), it seems a good deal for our needs. Watched last night via online app and the picture was ok but we were also only hooked up via wifi with an ancient router. Today the STB has arrived as well as a new router and once everything is hooked up direct to tv and modem, I expect to see improvements. Either way, just glad to be off Rogers teat after paying 350/month for the last two years.

any update on the service and quality Coco Doll?
