If your planning on heading out to Dq make sure you pop in on the 11th!

Kids love DQ® and the feeling is mutual. That’s why $1 or more from each Blizzard Treat sold at participating locations on Miracle Treat Day, August 11, 2011, will help sick and injured children at your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Since 1984, DQ has raised over $86 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals-including $5.5 million in 2010. Let’s make 2011 a record-breaking year! Join DQ and help make miracles happen.

Perfect, I have it marked on the Calendar. I just got my Orange Julius GC in the mail last week from doing a survey months ago, which can be used at DQ as well.

    My sons will be pleased.

Definately! I do this every year 🙂

I went to DQ last night and the shift manager made my blizzard – she actually used her shirt to wipe the chocolate dripping off the lip of the cup. I was so disgusted. When I pointed it out to her, she acted like she did nothing wrong and just asked if I wanted another one.
I did get another one, but I watched her like a hawk to ensure she didn’t do anything to it and this time though she used paper towels to wipe it down instead of her sweaty work shirt.
    GROSS!

A great cause. As much as I love ice cream (or ice milk as DQ would have it), I’ll be using my money to give directly to the charity. I’m not a fan of businesses luring in customers under the premise that they’re doing a great deed. The same holds true for major grocery chains who claim to contribute thousands to charities, when most of this money comes from customers buying balloons and the like to post in the store. Instead, give directly to those who need it, and get the income tax rebate yourself rather than giving it to the corporation.

Went yesterday and it wasn’t very well publicized at the store, they had a sign in the corner…
