A sign of the times?

I know the economy stinks right now, but is it really so bad that you need to put underwear and paper towels on the lawaway plan? 😛

The picture above is from this weeks Zellers flyer. The juxtaposition of inexpensive necessities and and ad for in-store credit just tickled me pink. Couldn’t help but share it with the crowd.

good job, HBC.. screw with credit some more. It’s tacky enough Zellers/The Bay asks if you want a cash advance/loan when you buy something.

It does look odd and I didn’t even notice it until you pointed it out. If you turn the page of the flyer you’ll see that thw whole ad states when you use your HBC Store Card or HBC Mastercard for min $200 before taxes. So thankfully this isn’t recession layaway.

to funny, just the thought that toilet paper company might go the way of car compnies and we would need to stock up now, boy would that be make their layaway staff nuts $200.00 in tissue pkg’s times say 100 customers(if they actually had that many in stock ever). It would give them nightmares being surrounded by the stuff hahahaha.

  9. Great Site, I did notice however that some of its features are not working properly.

Dear Zellers, I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a Hamburger today.
