At under $100 this is a superb price for the August Smart Lock.  Your door needs to be perfectly aligned for this to work. If you need to push or pull on your door to lock it, then this August Smart Lock will not work since the motor is of limited power compared to a human. It needs to line up perfectly to work. The WiFi consumes a lot of battery too, so when possible avoiding the WiFi will be a plus for the longevity of the battery.
