A post in the Smart Canucks Finance section mentions that a person can make their own soap with animal fat and lye. I did some research and yes this is true. A person can also make their own soap using a combination of vegetable fats such as sunflower oil for a vegetarian soap. There are a lot of free soap recipes on the internet. I have decided to try making my own vegetarian soap which may be cheaper than buying ready made soap and by making my own soap I get to choose my own ingredients. I will let everyone know how my first soap batch turns out. Cheap
