If you don’t have the Blockbuster Rewards Membership, now would be the time to get it. This Saturday and Sunday Blockbuster will be reducing the price on all of it’s new DVD’s by 30% for Rewards members. The Rewards membership is only $9.99, so if you’re spending more than $33 on retail DVD’s the membership has literally paid for itself — anything more than that and you’re in savings land.
In case you’re not familiar with the Rewards program, Blockbuster has a write up here. Basically it gives you a coupon book that saves you $2 each month, same day reservations, and every sixth new release rental in a month is free. Also, it lets you in on sales like these. 😉
I don’t see why anybody would shop/rent at Blockbuster. They are overpriced. We can rent DVDs at many places for 99 cents, and most people with half a brain own a dvd copier on their computer.
Uh-oh!! Report Norm to the FBI!!!
Norm…We could save even more by having a friend rent a DVD and lend to us after viewing.
The point here is that we want to respect reasonable copyright. We don’t want to do something which is fundamentally wrong just to save a few dollars.
