Hi,my name is Yvon Levesque and I ordered a Plasma Cutter 2weeks ago on the boss tools site and they told me it was going to take 2 to 5 work days and its been 2weeks now and nothing as come in so i called them and now they tell me that it was going to be another 2 weeks witchIi am not very impressed. this is the first time i order from boss tools i hope if I ever order from yous again that it will not take as much time.

Yes, I believe the same that probably they went out of business even if the web site is still up. I placed an order last Dec 19/2009 and they kept telling me that the supplier hadn’t gave them the product yet but they still have it listed on their web site. I just tried to contact them again today, June 18, 2010 with no results. Just a voice message telling me that they are on another line with a customer. Guess I can kiss my 166 bucks goodbye. What a scam this is for sure.

I think the company is out of business. Over the last years i ordered from this company and always i received my merchandises with a good service. Since a few months, i’ve received only a few merchandises when i placed an order with them and some items were back order with E-Mail from them saying that they will ship the merchandises when the produts will arrive.Since 3 or 4 months i’ve not received any item from the backs orders.. I figure maybe this company is out of business because of bankrupcy..Just lask week, their web site was still running..Today the site no longer exist even the phone for customer service from the company..I’ve just lost $400 and no chance to recover the merchandises..

@ JEAN-GUY MACAMEAU – Boss Tools went out of business. They filed for bankruptcy. I had ordered about $200 worth of tools off them as well. I got emails back from some guy named Chris telling me that they had went bankrupt and sorry for my hard luck. I had payed through paypal, so I opened a claim with them saying that I never received my item and paypal returned my payment to me. If you used your credit card through paypal, make sure you open a claim to get your money back. If you payed directly on a credit card (which I never recommend doing online), call your credit card company and explain the situation to them. Sometimes they will reverse the charges and refund you your money! Good luck with it!

I had a similar experince. Ordered something in the beginning of March, account debited right away, but no order or this day. I received several emails stating the product temporarily out of stock, product will be shipped in 2 weeks. Tried calling them (mailbox full), sent numerous emails asking to cancel the order, finally got a reply in July that my order was cancelled, the file transferred to their collection department and that I would receive my money back within 10-15 business days. NEVER HAPPENED.
I see that Boss Tools is no longer in business. What I don’t understand is how can companies steal money like that with absolutely no consequences. It is obvious they were accepting orders for months prior to claiming bankrupcy, even falsly advertaising “no gst” weekends when they had absoluely no intention of completing and shipping those orders. I believe there must be hundreds of clients as us.
I RECOMMEND issuing a claim to Ministry of Consumer Services @ https://www.cbs.gov.on.ca/compform/english/complaint.asp
Probably won’t get as anywhere, but no harm in trying. Perhaps would be good to have more people sign a letter of complaint of some sort. Wouldn’t be surprised if the owner of Boss Tools opens up a similar type of business under a different name soon…

Hello everyone. I was told today that the beginning of September that they have closed. Got to Tools N Things loacted at 1929 Provincial in Windsor behind Costco and Lowes. We have been in the city for 22 years and would be glad to help you out.
