Do you think there will be long line-ups? We love Kelsey’s wings but if we have to stand in line in the freezing cold it will not be worth it. How many people are planning to go?
I might actually go! I’m a starving college student :):) but my family has sworn off Kelsey’s ever since my mom got food poisoning cuz they didn’t cook their chicken all the way (I just wont tell her)
Sallycat – I don’t think it will be a mandarin fiasco if that’s what you mean, but I would suggest having a backup location if yours is really swamped. I dont know if they’ll offer the wings only in the bar section of the restaurant, I doubt it though, so you should be okay.

I worked as a server there for 2 years. Bad experiences do happen. Human errors cannot fully be prevented. Overall, it is a restaurant that I still go to and besides the rising prices is a great meal.
I think there will be a lineup at some, but most are open until 11pm, so if you can hold out til after the supper rush you should be ok. I plan on visiting 2 that night. 😉

LOL at the comment about going to visit 2 different Kelsey’s that night to get the free wings. Even if you aren’t going to order anything else, it’s still not free unless you decide to stiff your waiter/waitress out of a tip.
Sandy – I guess they just really want wings. They were a server too one so I am sure they will tip well. We may do the same thing too.

Hmm.. 8 wings or 1lb. Depending on the *size* of the wings, it’s hard to say which is larger…the number or the weight, LOL.
I called to make reservations, and they aren’t taking them tomorrow. So, considering the deal starts at 4pm and I’m not even off work till 5pm, by the time I get there it’s near 6pm, I’d be looking at a good 1 hour weight to get a handful of wings. I’d probably buy $20 in beer (between my husband and I) while we wait for a table, and then order some more food to go with the wings, I think it’s cheaper for me to stay home and make something myself for dinner!!

benji – like someone else pointed out, it is better to go later at night, past dinner time to avoid the rush, that’s what we are doing. And ya 8 wings = 1lb.
I don’t know if I want to go now. I did but now the prospect isn’t so encouraging. Clearly there are going to be crowds there. And we’re going to have to wait for tables. And it’s a cold day too. People are going to be pushed out of there faster to make room for more people to eat the free wings. I don’t know if you could sit and enjoy your meal assuming you’re going to order more than just the free wings ofcourse.
We got there right at 4, got seated right away. By the time we left there was a crowd by the entrance.

We got there before 4pm no line ups at all.We ordered 5 lbs of wings, 2 Juices, 2 Soft drinks.
Only paid for 2 soft drinks and tip.Staff was really friendly,
excellent night out.
We went late tonight, got there around 9pm, it was busy, but we sat in the bar, their had a special menu out, balloons everywhere, all the staff were wearing “celebrate wings” shirts. We ordered two orders of wings, one hot, one medium (for me). We ordered two entrees as well. Service was good. Near the end, the restaurant really emptied out.
Also, if you missed this deal, every Thursdays, Kelsey’s has half price wings.
I went with 8 of my friends at 7:30pm. They told us the wait was going to be 1.5 hours. We got in in 20 mins. We all got our pound of wings and a few drinks. THe service was amazing and we were not rushed out of there at all as we were there for almost 3 hours.
Service was great, wings were great! I went in at 9pm and it was already dying out so we got seated immediately
Went last night with the gf at around 8pm. It was pretty crowded. We gave our name, went out to a nearby restaurant for a small bite, and 40 minutes later returned, no longer with starving bellies. A 5-minute wait at that point and we were seated.
Only complain I really had was that I ordered mild wings but received what tasted like medium. The only mild tasting one was a tough wing, seemingly from an old chicken or something. But what could I do, they were free.
