The scam is to steal your Optimum Card of all points. This is fraudulent and not authorized by Shoppers Drug Mart, nor is this the Shoppers Drug Mart website. The Shoppers Drug Mart website is www.shoppersdrugmart.ca.

Do not log in to any site from an email, go to www.shoppersdrugmart.ca and log in from there just to be sure that you are using the real site.

The Overwaitea group have updated their coupon policy and stacking is no longer permitted with the exception of stacking a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon.  This policy is effective November 1st, but some of our forum members have already been told stacking is over in their store.

I have always envied the ability to stack that our Western Canada members enjoy, it is a pity to see it go when people have been getting great deals.  Will it change how often you shop at stores in the Overwaitea group?

I have some very awesome news to share today! Walmart has updated their price match policy. Price matching now can include any store across Canada. The flyer you use to price match no longer has to be from a local competitor that get delivered to your home! Use flyers that you have printed, or even on your phone! Oh the convenience! You can price match ANY store at Walmart, aslong as they are in Canada! Exceptions are wholesale and warehouse prices. I believe right now this updated policy is only confirmed in Ontario, but doesn’t hurt to try in other locations! I will update this post as other provinces become confirmed, so if you are able to use this updated price match policy, please advise me. Toronto Zoo elephants are leaving! 🙁 Say goodbye to the elephants before they leave! FREE admission for kids 12 and under on weekends until October 14, 2013. This is really sad and hopefully Toronto Zoo will get their act together and take better care of animals in the future.

After nearly 40 years in Toronto, the Toronto Zoo continues to prepare for the departure of our three elephants, Toka, Thika and Iringa, occurring after Thanksgiving. This move is further to the City of Toronto Council decision to send our three African elephants from the Toronto Zoo to the PAWS Sanctuary in California. We appreciate the concern our Zoo friends and members have expressed on this topic and we understand the emotional impact this has for those who have visited our three elephants, over the four decades they have spent at the Toronto Zoo.

Viewing opportunities will be available daily from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, prior to their departure.

Shoppers Drug Mart Facebook page posted about a pilot Shoppers Drug Mart Mobile Optimum App program that’s taking place in Kingston and London (and I’m guessing will eventually be available Canada-wide). Keep an eye on the Shoppers Optimum mobile app FAQs page, they’ll probably add more Canadian cities soon.

What happens when Optimum goes mobile? Life gets a little easier! We are really excited to announce that Mobile Optimum is now available exclusively to Kingston and London as a pilot. What does this mean? You can earn points, instantly redeem offers and check your points balance – right on your phone.

This Shoppers Drug Mart Mobile Optimum App seems to be in beta but it’s very exciting to know that such an App is going to be available soon. Today Apple announced two new phones: iPhone 5S, which is the continuation of its main iPhone series and the new iPhone 5C concept which was supposed to be a cheaper more affordable model that competes with the more affordable Android phones. If you have these products, do not use them.  While it is a voluntary recall and no cases of illness have been documented in Canada, don’t risk it.
