Future Shop 10 Days of Web Deals: Day 6

 Future Shop Canada

Today’s deal is an HP 21″ HDTV-Ready Widescreen LCD Monitor (F2105) for $349.99 (regular price $499.99).

When I first saw this deal I was like, “wow! 21” monitor for $349.99! what a bargain!” but after reading the word “refurbished” in tiny size under the picture and after remembering that we still have to pay for shipping I would say that this deal is totally useless. Let’s say that you can buy the non-refurbished equivalent in-store and thus avoid refurbished monitors and shipping fees… you have to first ask yourself… why does Future Shop have 250 refurbished HP monitors? This only means that they’re a piece of junk!

Forum Sections Updated

I updated the forum sections today. I grouped the electronics and non-electronics deals sections into a single section and I also added some new sections: “Canadian Flyers”, “Contests” and “Coupons”

You’ll usually find many deals and freebies in the forum and you can also chit chat with a nice small group of friendly Canucks 🙂

Sorry I was busy during the weekend so I didn’t get around to posting Future Shop’s Days 2-4 deals.

Here’s today’s deal:

FS Canada

A Digimate 37″ Widescreen LCD HDTV for $999.99 (regular price $1499.99). This is a very good price for this TV. Note that you’ll also have to pay shipping. More details on Future Shop’s website here.

Future Shop 10 Days of Web Deals: Day 1

And just when I felt relieved that Dell’s Deals were over, jimmycanuck tells us that Future Shop is having 10 days of web-only Deals ;-)  I’ll cover these 10 days and hopefully Future Shop will have some good back to school deals.

Note that unlike Dell, Future Shop’s deals start at midnight. So here is Future Shop’s first deal.

Future Shop Canada Day1

Today’s Future Shop web-only deal is a Casio 5.0MP Digital Camera (EX-S500) for $199.99 (regular price $349.99). Shipping does not seem to be free anymore at Future Shop. The shipping costs will varry depending on where you live so the only way to find out is by adding the camera it to your shopping cart.

An awesome deal for a superb camera. You can read reviews on FutureShop’s website.

This deal is dedicated to Thilipan since he was looking for a good camera deal 🙂

$10 off $50 at Shoppers Drug Mart with CIBC VISA

 CIBC Shoppers Visa
or does it?

Another Visa offer! I’m not a Visa salesperson or anything, just pure coincidence! Get $10 off Shoppers Drug Mart Purchases of $50 or more with your CIBC VISA card.

More details on CIBC’s website here.

I don’t have a CIBC Visa card and I definitely won’t get one just for Shoppers Drug Mart’s lousy offers. I have an RBC Visa card and I recently got a TD Visa card (when I applied for the iPod offer). Although I hate RBC’s rigid account options I love their service and find it to be much better than that of TD and CIBC. Of course this may be different in your town or city, but here in Kingston that’s my overall impression.

Offer valid from August 5 to 11, 2006

Canadian Coupons: New Save.ca Coupons

I tried logging on today to post Dell’s last day of deals but I had some technical difficulties. I apologize for that. Anyhow, this concludes my coverage of Dell’s 14 days (I covered 13 lol) of Deals. Overall Dell did have some good deals but I expected to see at least a couple of mind boggling bargains. Hopefully they’ll have good back to school deals soon.

Back to other exciting deals, coupons and freebies 🙂

Here is a new set of save.ca coupons. It has savings on a bunch of different grocery items like Tide, Dr. Scholl’s, Heinz, Tampax, Gerber and more.

Dell Canada’s 14 Days of Deals: Day 13

Sorry for today’s late post… I’m rather busy this week so I’ll be posting less frequently

Dell Canada Day 13

Nothing fantastic today but some of you might the APC Back-UPS ES 725 Broadband for $49 (regular price $99) very useful. Have you been half way through writing your best and most creative article/blog/project ever when all of a sudden a power outage leads to an unexpected loss of your lovely work? It happens to all of us and when it does I personally just feel miserable. A couple of uneventful power outages have taught me to save my articles every 1 or 2 minutes. I can officially call myself a “save-aholic” 😉

Anyway, back to the point… Dell’s PC Back-UPS ES 725 Broadband will prevent such a mishap from taking place. If the power goes out, your computer (or any electronic device plugged into the UPS) will not shut off all of a sudden. As well as its power outage protection capabilities, UPS is an good surge protector.

You can also use this UPS on your TV. Although there’s no risk of losing data on a TV, you’ll make sure you never miss a single episode of LOST or Grey’s Anatomy 😉

Some of Dell’s other deals today include:
– Garmin Nuvi 350 Pocket or Vehicle GPS Navigator with Integrated MP3 Player and Photo Viewer – $699
– Creative Labs Prodikeys PC-MIDI USB Music and PC Keyboard in One – $39
– Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe – $39
– Kingston 1GB SD Memory Card – $29
– SKB Rugged Notebook Case – Military Standard – $99

hmm, this Creative Labs Prodikeys PC-MIDI USB Music and PC Keyboard sounds interesting. I’ll have to read some reviews about it.

Note that shipping is free.

Tomorrow’s the last day! yay!

Harmony 880 Universal Remote has a color screen, can be programmed via a Mac or PC and has an attractive design. I strongly recommend this universal remote.

Dell Canada’s 14 Days of Deals: Day 10

 Dell Canada Day10

Today’s main Dell deal is the Creative Labs 30 GB Zen Vision: M MP3 Player Black w/FM Tuner for $279 (regular price $379). A great price for a great mp3 player but I can’t personally imagine myself using anything other than an iPod. But to be fair to this Zen player, it has an FM Tuner (for some unexplainable reason iPods do not have a radio) and this Zen also has a better battery life than a 30Gb iPod Video. When you purchase an iPod you pay a lot of money just for its reputation but with the Zen you’re paying for more features. I would still never spend $279 on a Zen though, but that’s just me.

Some of Dell’s other deals today include:
– Creative Labs 8 GB Zen MicroPhoto MP3 Player – Black – $199
– Philips HN110 Noise Cancelling Foldable Headphones – $39
– Solar Style SC002 Portable Solar Charger for Cell Phones, MP3 Players, Cameras and other Electronics – $39
– Dell 5650 5.1 Speaker System w/ Subwoofer – $59
– DiscGear Selector 100FX 100-Disc – $29

Note that shipping is free.

Canadian Sale: RadioShack Massive Blowout Sale

Thanks ipreferibm for allowing me to post your article here 🙂
RadioShack is having a huge sale this Saturday.

RadioShack is having a massive Blowout Sale in order to make room for new models coming in August. They have really stepped up the discounts for Home Audio, Portable Audio, DVD Players/Recorders, phones and other giftables that are coming to the end of line.

The new pricing will be effective this Saturday July 29th. This is the last kick at insane pricing (upto 80%) and they are in the process of launching new assortments in the stores.

I have a PDF file that outlines the item/model, with what the original price was and what they will go down to on Saturday, also a rough number of units that are left in the chain. Good time to buy if you are looking for a new toy or a gift.

Here is the full product list with the discounted prices. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this file.

I’m not sure whether Radio Shack is having the sale or The Source by Circuit City. They are 2 different companies now. I’ll keep you updated if I find out more info.

Update:
– The sale is at Radio Shack not The Source. Their website is radioshackisback.ca
– The sale is in-store.
– They have a limited number of stores. You can find their store locations here.
