As a Diet Coke enthusiast (I know, I know, aspartame is really bad for me. — I get it), I’ve had a heart-breaking few years. While you’ll never have a problem finding Coca-Cola products in your local pop aisles, more and more restaurants have been switching from Coke to Pepsi. It’s been happening at such a staggering rate that there must be an amazingly good price attached to it. One of the few holdouts in the restaurant cola wars was McDonald’s. But it looks like that almost wasn’t the case.
Last year McDonald’s did a test market trial run of Pepsi beverages in several of it’s US restaurants. The full Reuters story can be found here. It turns out that they didn’t sell as well as was expected, so the chain is going to stick with Coca-Cola products. THANK. GOD.

Thinking of picking up a Nintendo DS? How about two? All this weekend (sorry for the late post) Blockbuster Canada is offering all of their Nintendo DS systems for buy one get one half off. Definitely a good deal considering they normally go for $139.99. Who doesn’t love saving $70?
While it’s a great deal, I think they’re just trying to clear out their stock before the DSi releases in April. The DSi is a bit of an upgrade on the current model, but it also gets rid of the GameBoy Advance compatibility and won’t work with homebrew cards. That’s a pretty big trade off for a camera and some downloadable games in my opinion. I say stick with the DS Lite and grab two this weekend while you can get a good deal. 🙂

If you are looking for a very small laptop that uses very little power, here is a great little buy. For just $299 you get a Dell laptop with an 8.9″ screen, 8GB solid state drive and 1GB of RAM. Not a bad deal at all. It gets mixed reviews, but mostly positive. Really, for the price, it’s hard to go wrong with this one. The big bonuses are that it is small, light and doesn’t make any noise at all.
It’s a limited quantity deal, and at the point of writing this, there are 254 remaining. There is store stock too – this number is just the online availability number.

I came across this fun “Passive-Aggressive Door-Holding Game” on Digg. I found it very interesting since we’re still considered one of the politest nations in the world (just google Canada polite nation) and holding the door for others is something most of us do. Here’s the game 😀

I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner about 3 times now and so far so good heres a list of things i’ve noted thus far
- Shampoo is extremely thick, a little goes a long way
- Bottles are cute looking
- Lids are a bit hard to open, more decorative then created for ease of opening
- Conditioner isn’t as thick but leave hair soft and manageable
Styling and design of bottle id give it a 5/5
Performance of product 4/5
Ease of use 3.5/5
Overall I’ll give it a 4/5
I’m quite interested to see how this shampoo and conditioner performs in the long run, generally after a few weeks is when my hair starts feeling not so good from a shampoo, I’ll be sure to update!
