This months Amazon DVD specials offer something that should appeal to two very different kinds of crowds;
Mother’s Day Sale:
While it’s still possible to get some of these DVD’s in the mail in time to give them to mommy dearest, let’s be honest; this is a sale that will appeal to the fairer gender regardless of their motherhood status. 357 DVD’s on sale, almost all of which will make you cry. Everything from Jane Austen to romantic comedies to recent hits like Seven Pounds. Well worth checking out (even if only to stock up for Valentine’s Day, fellas).
Sci-Fi Sale: Finally, something for me and my geeky brethern to enjoy! 177 titles to choose from, many of which are TV box sets available for more than 60% off. Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Dark Shadows, X-Files, Dead Like Me.. The list goes on and on. Lots of good movies in there too (who doesn’t need a copy of Godzilla vs. Mecha-Godzilla?). Definitely one to get in on while the getting’s good.
Aeropostale’s Canada Spring Fling is on! Save 25% off excluding clearance. Offer valid online using promo code FLING09 or in-store at all Aeropostale Canada stores with printable coupon.

I’ve never personally tried Left 4 Dead PC game, but I’ve heard it’s a pretty fun and addictive game. This weekend only Steam online has Left 4 Dead on sale for 40% off. Instead of $39.99 you can buy the game for only $23.99 USD. Note that you don’t get the actual DVDs but instead you get to download the game from the Steam Canada servers. For most people with high speed Internet that shouldn’t be a problem at all. Left 4 Dead has both single player and multi-player modes but the multi-player modes seems to be what people love the most about it.

Thank you smartnewbie for that very detailed and helpful Shoppers Drug Mart calculator! Not only does it calculate points but also how much products are worth after using coupons and earning points! This program is simply genius. Thank you once again Christine!
Over the past 3+ years of my blogging on SmartCanucks I have never come across something this new and creative and I’m very impressed! smartnewbie created this Shoppers Drug Mart excel calculator for free just to help us out and all she’s asking for in return is that you leave a comment giving her feedback on your experience using it and give her a thumbs up in the forum. Please please leave a comment if you found this SDM calculator useful to encourage her and thank her for her effort and great work.
This file calculates:
- Total cost before tax
- Total cost after tax
- Total saved
- Total cost with coupons before taxes
- Total points earn at 15x or 20x the points
- Value of points earn on 75K for $200 redemption day
- $ made
- How much I actually paid for each individual item
Also if you have suggestions for her to improve it let her know!

Hey everyone!
Just thought I’d update you on the PineCone Research Canada Invites and what’s been going on!
Over the past week or so I’ve emailed out over 6,000 PineCone Research Invitations! Yep you read that right! To all of those who replied back thanking me, you’re very welcome!! Sorry I couldn’t reply to individual thank yous due to the large amounts of emails I send and receive but I do read each and every one and it’s these little nice gestures that keep me going 😀
I’m sorry if I emailed you several times. At one point I got very exhausted and lost track of what I was doing. To make sure I didn’t miss anyone I resent a batch which I’m sure had duplicates. If you got multiple emails from me I’m sorry!
I’d just like to let you know that if you heard back from PineCone Research Canada then congrats you got accepted. But if you didn’t hear anything it means you got rejected. PineCone will not email you a rejection letter. Maybe you got rejected because you work in marketing, advertising, retail or maybe they’re not looking for anyone in your city or maybe not your age range. You never really know why! What you could do is forward the invitation email I sent you to your family and friends. This is a generic invitation link so you can email it to as many people as you like 😉
I don’t think the PineCone Research Canada form will be up for much longer so if you want to invite a friend or family or apply yourself do so soon.
If you’re still looking for an invitation or if for some reason I missed your email address you can email me at [email protected] and I’ll send you a PineCone Research Canada Invite. If I already emailed you once you do not need to email me again. Just forward the one you have to your family and friends.
Mmmmm, I’m hungry already after looking for a picture to use for this Tony Roma’s Canada blog post. Tony Roma’s Canada has an online Club which you could join for free. When you do, they’ll email you discount coupons and even sometimes freebie coupons! So if you’re a fan of Tony Roma’s ribs seafood and steaks this club is for you!
