It’s that time of year again, where Tim Hortons Canada will be busting out those infamous red cups that hold the potential to either gift you with that magical and oh so sought after three-letter word (“Win”) or to simply dash your hopes and dreams aside by cursing you with that ill-fated, three-word phrase “Please, try again”. You all know what I’m talking about, the tumultuous season of RRRoll Up the Rim to Win is upon us, and while in previous years you may not have been a winner (be it of a free coffee or plasma screen TV), this year may just be your chance to redeem yourself as there are over 48 million prizes to be won.
And running alongside the traditional in-store RRRoll Up the Rim contest with Tim Hortons, will be the online edition called RRRoll Up Replay; a contest where you can essentially double your odds of wining by playing on either your desktop, tablet, or mobile device. The rules of this online edition enable you to play up to 5 Game Cups at a time, with each Game Cup containing 2 rolls. The more you play online, the more badges and points you can collect, which will further increase your chances of winning prizes!
Unlike last year’s edition of Tim Hortons RRRoll Up Replay contest, you will be able to play this online game all day as each hour you will earn a new cup to be played. If you are able to collect 200,000 points before the contest ends on April 2nd, 2015 (this is the closing date for both the in-restaurant and online contest), you will be eligible to play on the Extra Day of Play on April 7th, 2015 where you will have the chance to play from a prize pool which will include a 2015 Toyota Camry.
For the standard in-restaurant competition, the eligible cups for the chance to roll up 1 RRRoll Up the Rim will be a small, and for the chance to roll up 2 rims you can purchase a medium, large or extra-large. The prizes, as mentioned earlier, are much better this year than in previous years – namely because there are essentially more prizes than there are Canadians! For the in-store competition, the big ticket prize is obviously the 2015 Toyota Camry, but I know from personal experience that there is nothing more rewarding than rolling up to discover that you will be getting a FREE donut with your morning coffee (then again, I have never won a 2015 Toyota Camry…).
The full list of prizes to be won in this year’s competition from Tim Hortons includes:
47 2015 Toyota Camry XSE 4 cylinder
94 LG OLED 55″ TV
23,620 prizes of $100 Canadian Tim Cards
48,203,747 Coffee & Food Prizes
Coffee or Latte: $1.35 – $3.89 Canadian Value (choice of any size hot beverage)
Donut at $0.95 – $2.05 Canadian Value (choice of any single muffin, cookie or donut)
94 $5,000 Visa Prepaid cards
The overall odds of winning at least a free coffee or donut in this year’s RRRoll Up the Rim are 1 in 6, while the odds of winning the car are about 1 in 6,277,259; so at the very least you will probably come away with a free coffee in the next two months (unless you are that lucky 1 in 6,277,259 odd!)
As is the standard for the RRRoll Up the Rim contest, there will be a skill testing question asked to claim your prize in addition to proof of your original ‘winning’ rim; that being said, for the coffee and food prizes at Tim Hortons, I have only ever been asked for the winning rim and no addition and/or subtraction question has been required to be answered (so this may just apply for the big ticket prizes).
Tim Hortons will be running the contest until April 2nd, 2015, and you must claim your prizes before May 8th at 11:59 PM ET (or closing of the store).

The sales at Lululemon Canada, while rare to be seen, when they do occur are sometimes some of the best deals out there. They have recently stepped up their game in offering more fashion forward pieces that can be worn in places outside the yoga studio, such as this beautifully knit yogi crew sweater which would look great layered with a collared shirt or even paired with a pair of casual wide leg pants. This merino wool sweater is normally sold for double the price it is currently listed at, which is $59. Plus, since Lululemon always covers the shipping, this is all you will have to pay!
Another great find from within this sale was the cabin yogi wrap, which was originally being sold at Lululemon for $108, but has now been marked down by $30 to be just $79.
The cabin wrap is available in five different heathered shades, including blush, grey, black, navy and dark wren. What’s truly unique about this piece is how easily it is to just wrap yourself up in it like a cocoon, as it can be worn with or without the hood up – a very subtle feature – and has almost hidden slouchy pockets that you can stuff your hands in if you suffer from chronically cold hands (a condition which I will be the first to sympathize with).
As I said, Lululemon offers free-shipping on all of their orders, but keep in mind since these items are from the final sale section, they cannot be returned or exchanged.
For this weekend, and this weekend only, the Body Shop Canada will be giving you the chance to get 6 pieces of Body Shop goodies for essentially 50% off, or rather as their marketing it buy 3, get 3 free. If all of your items are of about equal value though, this will workout to you saving 50% off on your total purchase. There are no coupons or promo codes required for these freebies, just know that the three items that are of the lowest value in your total will be the ones subtracted from your purchase.
The only restrictions on what items you can use in this offer, which if you consider the number of products that the Body Shop creates is not that exclusive a list, are as follows:
100ml Hand Creams
Smoky Poppy products and makeup
Vitamin E Serum-in Oil
Drops of Youth Eye Concentrate
All-in-One InstaBlur, InstaBlur Eye
Argan Range
Red Musk products
bundles
sale items
gifts and everyday offers
accessories $6 and under
I personally love the Almond scent that the Body Shop offers, and was able to stack the conditioning wash, the body butter and the almond hand and nail butter plus the same combo of the Absinthe scent and only pay $60! Normally, all six of these Body Shop products would have run my bill up to $100.
The Body Shop is running this offer both in-store and online, and if you spend over $50 you will qualify for free-shipping. The deal will be running this weekend until February 1st in-store and February 2nd online.
It’s shaping up to be a good deal for football lovers this Sunday, February 1st. With all the promo code offers and bundle deals going around, whether the team your cheering for wins or loses the Super Bowl, at least you’ll be happy knowing you saved a dollar while feasting. The most recent deal that we’ve received word about is at Boston Pizza Canada, where they will be offering you one free pizza when you buy a first pizza that is of equal or greater value than your free one.
This offer from Boston Pizza is only valid on online orders, as you must enter the promo code, TOUCHDOWN, to receive your second pizza for free.
This deal from Boston Pizza will apply to both medium sized pizzas and large, but if you’re getting the second one for free, I’d suggest upgrading to the large since you’ll be getting more bang for your buck; and if you can’t finish it the night of the big game (which is the day that the deal will be valid on) you can always have it for breakfast the next morning to either celebrate or soothe yourself for your team’s win/loss.
Signing up for the P&G Everyday Program Canada is a free service that, once you are a member, they will specifically cater coupons and samples from all of their products; which, if you aren’t already aware of just how many brands P&G includes, I have compiled a short list of just some of the hot coupons you could begin receiving exclusive offers from:
Pampers
Tide
Bounty
Swiffer
Crest
Gillette
Vicks
Duracell
Mr. Clean
Olay
Oral-B
Covergirl
and much, much more!
All you need to do is follow this link to P&G Everyday Canada, where they will ask you to fill out some information about yourself (name, postal code, e-mail address) and then they will begin sending you coupons, samples, plus everyday life tips that will vary from recipes to cleaning tips. I personally use a separate account for retailers to reach me, which I’d advise those of you who do choose to give out your e-mail address to start doing as it allows you to keep your shopping and personal life separate.
You can opt out at anytime from P&G Everyday, and we will also be keeping an eye out for those special coupons, which sometimes will show up here at SmartSource.ca.
Marble Slab Creamery Canada – simply the first syllable of this franchise sets your taste buds aglow with memories of endless gummy bear mix-ins and delicious hand-crafted ice-cream scooped sumptuously onto a fresh, warm waffle cone. Hungry yet? I know I am, especially after reading this months promotions which have included in them over $50 in savings! Even if you don’t use all of them, there are certainly some great buy-one-get-ones and freebies that would be worthwhile to use (especially seeing as this months is candy month…er, I mean Valentine’s Day).
Some of these coupons aren’t really worth using, like the $5 banana split coupon which is more or less offered every Friday – where they have a promotion that sells it for $6. Ones that I believe are worth getting excited about, however, was the $5 free gift card you receive when you purchase any large ice cream cake.
Another great coupon from Marble Slab Creamery is their 4 cones for $14 offer, which will include two small cones, two regular size cones, plus unlimited mix-ins. This coupon would be idea for a family of four who wants to treat their two little ones, but know that they can’t necessarily handle the full regular size cone (like us adults can!)
All of the coupons from Marble Slab Creamery expire on February 28th, 2015 and cannot be used in combination with any other coupon or ongoing promotion in-store.
While you remember the other day how we posted about how Forever 21 Canada would be offering free-shipping on all orders placed with winter essentials inside the bag – meaning no minimum purchase of $60 – it seems to be today that the free-shipping offer (be it a mistake or not) is being applied to all items online.
That’s right, free-shipping on all items throughout the store (or at least as of the time of this posting!). We cannot guarantee how long this ‘offer’ will be available on Forever 21, but if you head on over there now you’ll be able to see for yourself just how sweet the savings are. Normally, shipping and handling costs $8.95 before your order size of $60, which often times forces you to find filler items to meet this minimum. Now you can pick up whatever you want and not have to worry about those pesky fillers!
For instance, I was able to pick up this striped bodycon skirt (which I believe is from last year’s summer stock) for just $5.99 plus tax.
Other great deals that can be found, should the free-shipping offer does decide to go back to strictly winter essential items, include (but are not limited to):
lace-paneled sweater, now only $27.90
oversized two-tone scarves for just $12.80
pebbled faux-leather tote, for just $27.90
fitted flute and flare dress, for just $27.90
Remember, this free-shipping sitewide may just be a glitch – but if it is, you should try to take advantage before Forever 21 fixes their mistake!

All of you Star Wars fans, be it for the movies or the comic books, can now own a piece of Marvel history for just a fraction of the original price. The piece of comic book history being none other than the Star Wars: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus Volume 1 comic book, which is now available on Chapters Indigo Canada for just $79.80 – though it was originally sold for $140.
The full omnibus from Marvel will include issues #1-#44, as they were the original holders of this series (for the past 20 years, Dark Horse Comics has held the rights to the Star Wars franchise). If you are an original Star Wars fan, or a newcomer to the game of comic books, I believe this omnibus will be great to either add to your already well established collection or for those of you just dipping your toes in the water.
Since you will also be spending over $30 at Chapters Indigo when you purchase Star Wars: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus Volume 1, you will also qualify for a discounted“Love is All You Need” tote (valued at $25). You will have to add this tote to your cart on your own, as the discount won’t be applied until you do so, but when you do the tote will only come to $14.50.
You should also be aware that to receive the listed price of $79.80, you will have to be a Plum Rewards Member (don’t worry – membership is FREE and will automatically apply a 5% discount to all of your online orders). If you opt not to get the membership, then you will have to pay $84, which is still a decent price, but why not save more if you can do it for free?
Chapters Indigo Canada also offers free-shipping on all orders that exceed $25, so this Star Wars omnibus and tote will ship to your home for free.

Astro Canada has recently released a campaign through their product, Astro Zer0%,that when you take the pin off 8 different packages of specially marked Astr0% products, you will be able to win a FREELug Puddle Jumper bag. This bag alone is valued to be worth $100, and in exchange for buying delicious and healthy yogurt (as Astr0% has only 30 calories per serving, and 0 grams of fat) I’d say this is certainly a worthwhile deal.
In addition to giving away a free bag, Astro will also give you the chance to enter your name in a contest with your pin entries where you will have the chance to win one of your top thirty ‘life experiences’. There is a list on their promotions site that shows some of the community’s entries to give you some inspiration, but you yourself can pick any top 30 experiences you’d like to try in your lifetime and, if you are one of the selected winners, Astro will pay for one of those experiences.
You have until April 12th, 2015 to enter, and the more pins that you enter (aka the more Astr0% yogurt you purchase) between now and then, the higher your chances will be of winning.
When you shop at Sears.ca between January 22nd and February 17th and spend a minimum of $36, which isn’t too much if you consider what you’ll be getting in return, you can qualify for the Lancome 7-piece gift set. This gift set is valued for $165, and will include an exclusive (and not to mention striking!) Lancome cosmetic bag to store all of your newly acquired goodies inside.
To qualify for this minimum of $36, I thought for consistencies sake I’d stay within the Lancome family when making my purchase and was able to find this Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner for just $1 above the minimum at $37. I was then able to add the 7-piece gift set to my cart, which to receive you’ll have to click on the ‘add to cart‘ button found on the promotional page.
Your full 7-piece gift from Lancome at Sears will include the following makeup pieces, in addition to the already mentioned exclusive Lancome makeup bag:
Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector (7ml)
Renergie Lift Multi-Action Lifting and Firming Cream (15ml)
