This Thursday, April 2nd at Shoppers Drug Mart Canada is Seniors’ Bonus Day, which means all seniors will be able to save an extra 20% off on all regular priced merchandise when they shop with their Shoppers Optimum Card. The only products that will be excluded from this 20% discount are the following:
- prescription purchases
- products with codeine or insulin
- non-pointable items
- tobacco products
- prestige cosmetics and prestige fragrances
- stamps, passport photos
- lottery tickets, event tickets, transit tickets and passes
- electronic gift cards, prepaid phone cards

In addition to having seniors’ bonus day this Thursday, if you are shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart and you should spend $50 or more on any of the qualifying products (i.e. not any of the items listed before) then you will receive a $10 bonus card that will be valid for use until April 23rd, 2015.
Happening a bit earlier then the promotional day in June when they offer frappucinos for 50% off for the entire population, Starbucks Canada will be running an exclusive members only event today where you can save half-off on frappucinos from 2-5pm.
This event is part of Starbucks’ last promotional day in March to get excited about Mondays, with the previous week’s offer being on pastries and the week before that being on two teas for the price of one. To qualify for this offer, all you will have to do is pay with your registered Starbucks card and your frappucino – of any size – will be reduced to being half-off.

The event of course being the Pancakes & Booze Art Show, Toronto edition. This event will be taking place on April 11th and will feature over 50 new artists, live music, body painting, alcohol and all you can eat pancakes. The best part? For those of you within the Ottawa area who are interested in attending the Ottawa Home & Garden Show this weekend, as it runs from March 26th until Sunday, March 29th, you can use an old promo code to get two tickets for the price of one! For UFC fans in the GTA, you had better pack up your things early from work on March 27th to get seats for the free in-person event being held for UFC fans at the Toronto Eaton Centre in the MAC Court Fountain. At 4pm on March 27th, the featherweight champion of the UFC, Jose Aldo, and his rival Conor McGregor will be live in a press conference to promote their big fight which will be held on July 11th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This event is free, but will probably be limited to a first come first serve basis, so I’d recommend getting there early to secure yourself a good viewing of the UFC fighters.

Every month at the Home Depot Canada, they host a Saturday workshop event for children that is used to teach kids how to use simple tools and in the end they will see how those tools can create wonderful gifts, or even toys! The next month’s workshop is being held on Saturday, April 11th at 11am and in this workshop kids will learn how to make their very own Chalkboard Planter Stand!
These workshops held by the Home Depot are free and are open to all children who are between the ages of 4-12. Everything about this workshop is free, as all of the necessary tools will be supplied by the Home Depot’s team leaders. You will need to attend this event with your child, and you will also have to RSVP to the event to secure their spot in the free workshop.
This event will last approximately 2 hours, and in the end your child will be able to take home their very own creation.

This weekend, March 27th-29th, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will be hosting the annual 2015 Green Living Show where various retailers, chefs, and experts in the field of ‘green living’ will be setting up booths to chat about new practises and products that are available locally for green shoppers.
