This is an offer that will have both your hydro bill and your eco-conscience feeling good, as right now Toronto Hydro is offering you coupons on common household items, like lightbulbs, power bars and more, that you can use at several stores across Ontario.

Mark’s Canada is one of those places that I always forget has a great selection of both men’s and women’s clothes and shoes, but what’s even better is that they almost always have a great sale going on too. Like right now, you can buy shoes for up to 50% off, and buy one pair and get the second pair for 75% off.
If you’re looking for new shoes, then Mark’s is definitely the place to be right now. I was able to pick up two different styles, one for him and one for her, for a total of just $92.35 (these two pairs would normally have cost $129.76!) If you are doing the shoe sale, then I’d suggest that you pick up two pairs that are about the same price, as they will discount the less expensive pair.
As for the other sales going on at Mark’s, you can pick up sweaters for between 40%-60% off the regular price, like this men’s Denver Hayes quarter-zip sweater is on sale for just $19.99.

Cineplex Canada has a deal that will perk up your whole family this March Break, as across the country they will be running matinee shows from the Monday to Friday of your province’s March Break for just $2.99!
You can check out the list of participating theatres across the country here, where they will tell you what theatre and when that theatre will be running the March Break offer. The full schedule of what movies will be playing isn’t available yet, but when it is you will be able to find it here. For the most part though the movies will be starting at 11:00am.

If you’re like me, you have a bit of a love hate relationship with Bulk Barn Canada. The love is because I absolutely love their products and, more importantly, their prices. The hate, however, comes from the fact that every time I shop there I feel so wasteful using plastic bag after plastic bag to refill common household items that are just going to go back in a jar when I get home.
That is why the rolling out of a national reusable container program from the Bulk Barn is so very exciting, as my relationship with the Bulk Barn will now be a love-love relationship, since they are giving us the chance to actually reduce our carbon footprint by bringing in our own containers!
The system is pretty simple. First, you must bring in a clean container, that meets some basic requirements:
- free of chips, cracks, stains, debris, dirt, rust and residual food
- the container or bag is reusable and is designed for food
- the container or bag is resealable with a lid, drawstring or clip-closure
- Paper and plastic bags are not acceptable for reuse
Next, you will have the cashier weigh your container so that they can tare the weight from your total after you have filled up with your goodies.
Then you will scoop your products as you usually would, but remember that once the product is inside your jar it cannot go back inside the bin.
Finally, you will proceed to checkout as you normally would and have the cashier ring you up. See, saving the planet can sometimes be as simple as that!
