Another day of crappy deals that I won’t bother reviewing. It’s sad Dell calls these deals “The People’s Choice Event”

…and when the deal is good, they may not deliver. I ordered two Nintendo DS consols for $99 on May 7 and the order is still “processing” even though the product is not out of stock on their website. It was supposed to ship on May 16.
wow, that was a sad selection. lol
Boo you’ve had great posts over the years…but this one is a non post. Ho hum.
LOL
Sunny, if there out of stock and you ordered before the deal was over youll still get it.
I bought one of those coloured laptops when they were on sale (save 250) It was on backorder magorly. But I got it at that price it was on sale for a month later.
As long as u order it when its on sale there good to there word. If your that concerned call them and theyll tell you the same thing I just did.
Bored, if your so bored by these posts why dont u write up a blog post and Pm it to Boo 🙂
Thanks for the reassuring words. I do realize that eventually I will get my order – but sometimes eventually is not good enough. Call me impatient 🙂
To vent my frustration, I just went ahead and posted the following online review of Dell.ca:
I placed an order for a Coral Nintendo DS for $99.99 on May 7, 2008 with estimated shipping on May 16… Then May 26… then June 2. The estimated shipping date is now June 10. What makes this ridiculous is the following:
1. This whole time the same product has been available at the website, showing that it “Usually Ships 5-7 Days”. This for a product for which they have yet to fill their orders from early May. Why can’t they admit that the darn thing is out of stock.
2. I will be out of town for 5 weeks – and unfortunately, they are unable to change the delivery address on an order that has yet to ship. So I cannot even re-route the order to a friend’s house. I am of course welcome to place a new order for the low low price of 145.99 :-)))
3. The guy I am talking to on the phone right now is really nice and promises that they will do their absolute best to get the order here on time, before I get out of town. Well, I will keep you posted, but for now I am one very unhappy customer.
