Chances are that if you shop online you’ve on more than one occassion thought you had found a great deal only to discover that it’s for Americans only. If you’re a Canadian gamer, a new website has come to the rescue.
GamesForCanada.com works on a simple concept: shipping games to Canada costs no more than two or three dollars, but US businesses either charge and exorbitant amount or refuse to ship up north altogether. Acting as a middle man, GFC purchases games from US retailers and resells them to Canadians at a reasonable shipping rate. Right now the website is in early beta, so there’s not a lot of product yet. Some highlights so far include Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (MSRP $39.99 CAN) for only $15.99 and WarioWare: Smooth Moves (MSRP $49.99 CAN) for $29.90.
Keep an eye on this site in weeks to come. Something tells me that we’ll be seeing every great US deal pop up on there once they’re up and running.
Sweet! Thanks for letting us know about this site.
Actually, there is a way to download these games for free. Thus eliminate the need to purchase anyway.
legaly?
No, Joel, I think Pirate means illegally, since his ‘name’ implies to pirate it.
A good idea, this service is, I hope they will not mind me buying The Orange Box though them, since it’s $20 in the USA and $40 up here.
I’m totally in love with the concept… but I’m poor at the moment. When I have cash, I’ll be sure to try it out. 😀
