Giant Tiger is taking a page out of the Loblaws’ book and is having a tax free event this coming weekend (Dec 5 & 6). There are actually quiet a few exclusions in this event, they include: grocery, pet food, candy, cleaning products, health and beauty, tobacco, lottery tickets, gift cards and online orders. So pretty much all clothing, household items, toys, seasonal items and gift wrap and cards are tax free. It isn’t the best Tax Free event but it would still save some money on Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. I pretty much love all tax free events!
Thanks to couponlady for letting us know about this event!
Hmmn, most grocery is already tax free but boy did they exclude a lot. Its one of those things that seems like a good deal till you read the fine print.
Wow they pretty much excluded everything I would use fpc cpns for 🙁
I don’t see the sense in it now really cause I don’t shop without cpns
I’m going to get all my Christmas wrap and cards. I’ll probably check out the clothes too, they have nice pjs that are really well priced so saving the tax on them is just a little extra happiness for me. Oh and I could use a new rug in my laundry room and a tax free rug seems about right.
Gift cards aren’t tax free in the first place??
Woohoo! Thanks!
Do you think Toilet Paper is a ealth and beauty product?…YAHOO!…FREE TP…HERE I COME!
Good points Maybe!
I went today to GT becasue they have a sale on DVD’s buy two at $9.99 each and get the third free, but once I got to the cash I realized they were previously viewed, so I did not buy them. What a rip off.
Hi there, I found your blog on Google while seeking for first aid for a heart attack and your post looks very interesting for me.
