    Death to the corn pop!

  2. Sally says:

On a side note that would be like a 3 flusher at least for our “water saver” toilet haha.

  3. Justine says:

    now that’s random! 😉

  4. kristin says:

whats the point? lol. im sure it wont go down.

  5. trucks says:

never! I like to mix my Special K and Corn Pops! 😀

  6. freeplease says:

    What a waste of cereal!

  7. Ivan says:

And this is on a deals site because …???

  8. Starving says:

What a waste of resources. Why don’t you donate it to the food bank instead?

  9. vin says:

you think you’re cool flushing down cereal? if you didnt like the product, dont buy it. to buy it means you support it. companies dont care what you do with a product AFTER YOU’VE PAID FOR IT. unless you stole that pack of cereal, you’re only increasing sales revenue for Kelloggs, and that only makes them want to sell more.

    turd nugget.

  10. Joyce says:

What a waste of food. Whoever posted this should remove it from this site. Shame on you.

  11. Mel says:

I feel like this is performance art…?

    Nah.

  12. trucks says:

ummm I think this was a joke in relation to a recent blog post about Corn Pops on Sale @ Zellers that caused a bit of “debate” in the comments section.
    http://smartcanucks.ca/kelloggs-corn-pops-at-zellers-price-match-to-wal/

No one is actually being asked to flush down Corn Pops. It’s supposed to be funny people! sheesh

  13. Edward says:

Not cool, what a waste…even a hobo on the street will say thank you.

  14. Jonathan says:

Haha….I used to like that cereal when I was a kid, but my mouth didn’t….it’s like eating razers blades. Captain Crunch does the same 🙂

  15. julie.leeds says:

I don’t waste quite that much, but if my kids don’t finish their cereal and its only a small amount it tends to float around for 4 or 5 flushes because of how my toilet works. And I don’t think the poster created the video.

  16. Celine says:

I’m just thinking of all the hungry kids in school that do not get breakfast in the morning because the parents are poor…. Intead of wasting food like that, please donate it to school… At least they’ll be thank full, your toilet does not care what you feed it.

  17. NT says:

I just don’t get the video as other poster have noted, what’s the purpose and why are you wasting food? Also, if you look at their other videos, he flushes eggs, bananas, ice cream cream cheese etc… WHY??!!

  18. canadian_girl says:

Okay, seriously people. We have to lay this Corn Pops debate to rest.

    TO EACH THEIR OWN!!!!

    Sheesh.

  19. The_Scarecrow says:

    Now That’s making a statement!

  20. AmberLab says:

You guys, I’m sure Boo Radley did not create that video or harm any innocent Corn Pops. It was a blog meant in fun, yes fun, that happens on here sometimes! 😉

  21. Sara says:

Vin: “if you didnt like the product, dont buy it. to buy it means you support it.” Maybe he found out he didn’t like it AFTER buying it.

I’ve tried donated opened food and hygiene products but no one wants to take them because they’re opened. It’s a liability thing. The next best thing is giving it to a homeless person on the street yourself.

  22. Tara says:

Hmm, reminds me of someone with the slice of humor… lol!

As for the corn pops down the toilet… ay! What happened in five minutes when they soaked up all the yucky water and expanded/thickened… wonder if we should show these videos to the guys area water treatment plant?! Might have something to say… old tabacco down the toilet?!

  23. 23edge says:

FAIL: what a waste of food… with what is happening in Haiti, people like this should think better with what they do on their own time

  24. Cheap says:

Someone must have had a lot of useless time on their hands to make a video like that.

I agree with some of the comments above: when a person is hungry they don’t waste food. The cereal should have been donated to the Food Bank.

  25. Bex says:

Wow! That is one amazing toilet!! Mine would get all plugged up and you’d have to flush it a dozen and keep on plunging. Is the corn pops debate still going on? Should go check it out. hehe

  26. Britt says:

What a waste of cornpops!!! I’m sure there’s alot of needy people out there that would’ve loved to have ate those cornpops. What an idiot!

  27. Corbinx says:

What a waste. I don’t think this is appropriate for a website that is about saving.

  28. Melody says:

I would hate to be this guys landlord when the septic system backs up. I’m sure my landlord added that we have to pay for our own sewer back-ups because of idiots flushing stupid things down the toilet like hats and spoons and shoes etc…..

  29. Melody says:

Oh and for you guys mad at the waster, lets hope those Corn Pops were stale!

  30. johnathon says:

To all you bleeding hearts, if you truly knew how much food is wasted daily, you’d have a kiniption. And if you consume meat, YOU contribute to the catastrophic environmental disaster that is attacking our earth. But no…you’d turn a blind eye to that and bitch about a box of cereal. And I’d bet you wouldn’t give up meat to do YOUR part to make this a better planet. The enemy is truly within.

    • Justine says:

I think this blog post was totally asking for these types of comments, a continuation of the original corn pops thread. People getting all upset for no reason. I don’t eat corn pops, the end, someone wants to dump it in their toilet, go ahead whatever.

  31. mist_ynight says:

It’s supposed to be funny people!!! Loosen up!!!

  32. confused says:

    let me get this straight….
it is abusive to feed corn pops to your children for breakfast but ok to send them to Hati or give to hobos? WTF?

  33. Jenny says:

supposed to be funny? I don’t find how funny it is to waste food / drain corn pops down the toilet. 30+ people here agree with me. why is this on a deals site? are you encouraging people to get stuff for free just so that they can waste it? that’s just sad.

  34. denise says:

OMG, that was so stupid, & yet so entertaining at the same time! hahahaha!
I watched it with my 5 year old along with the other videos flushing random things down the toilet. hahahaha!

Relax, folks, it was a joke. I personally wouldn’t waste food like that, but to each his own.

  35. Bonny says:

    @confused

I was thinking the exact same thing!!! If it’s so bad, why would you give it to anyone?

  36. Sally says:

Lmao, its amazing how corn pops rile people up. Lmao! This was in tribute to the corn pop debate earlier this week 🙂

  37. Jennie says:

@ Sally I am surprised the NY Fries hasn’t sparked a debate like the Corn Pop LMAO
in MY opinion, I think fries are worse than cereal lol 😀

  38. The_Scarecrow says:

For food waste that is nothing. You guys should see how much food we throw out where I work every day.

  39. spunkiest69 says:

What a waste!!! I wouldn’t imagine buying something just to flush it down the toilet…Give it away to someone in need or donate it to a local food bank!

  40. vibrantflame says:

As others have mentioned, this was meant to be a humorous reply to another thread about Corn Pops. In the other thread, people were talking about how disgusting it is that you would feed Corn Pops to your children and it should be considered dietary abuse. Apparently though it is okay to send them off to Haiti or feed them to homeless people, so long as your own children don’t eat them. I love how people can be so contradictory.

  41. speedytrini says:

    at least they weren’t no-name branded…
those would have permanently clogged the toilet! lol

  42. Bex says:

Bahahahahahahahahayhahahaha I LOVE THIS THREAD!!! I agree with Sally its amazing at how riled up people get over a box of cornpops!! If people think that is a waste think of all the food that just gets thrown out at fastfood restaurants etc…

I use to work at Tim Horton’s and so much food would just get chucked out each night. And there would be nothing wrong with it. It’s too bad food like that couldn’t be giving to foodbanks. However nobody wants the responsibility if something is wrong with that food.

  43. turtle-doves says:

HAHAHA couldn’t stop laughing after watching the video.

  44. Weeeooojr says:

    lol.

  45. Zip says:

    What a waste…

  46. cheap says:

In response to johnathon’s comment above regarding meat:

If the video had shown a guy flushing a steak down the toilet I still would have made the same comment: what a waste of food, it should have been donated to the Food Bank.

And how do you know what people feel about the consumption of meat? Your enemy is within you by overgeneralizing and making a blanket statement about people you don’t even know.

We were all commenting on the Corn Pops which was the star of the video.

  47. eyeseeyou333 says:

See…. great way of free advertising…. Way to go!!! Next time im in the grocery store i’ll make sure i pick up some for my kids…
For you who all think it was a waste…. who cares its 1 box…… maybe it fell on the floor… no one should jug something that simple… life is too short

  48. trucks says:

and we have all too much time on our hands to argue about a funny joke…if people are so concerned..go do something to help the people in Haiti! I hate how people are using it to justify their comments. Haiti this Haiti that…I am just as concerned about the people there but we need to stop inserting it everywhere.

  49. mardi61 says:

Exactly, free advertising and now everyone is STILL talking endlessly about cornpops because they watched a silly video.

  50. anisa says:

corn pops aren’t breakfast. just cause you give it to your kid with a glass of milk doesn’t make it healthy.
give your kid some cheezies with some milk in the morning, makes the same amount of nutritional sense.

oh wait, haha, there ARE ppl who feed their kids cheezies and think that’s ok. *shaking head*

i think there will ppl who will always think junk food is acceptable to raise your kids on, and the other side who try to fill their kids’ tiny tummies with nutritionally sound food choices.

the blog entry isn’t tongue-in-cheek witty, it’s just sad.

  51. vin says:

Sara: “I’ve tried donating [sic] opened food and hygiene products but no one wants to take them because they’re opened. It’s a liability thing. The next best thing is giving it to a homeless person on the street yourself.”

then the poster should have given it to someone instead of FLUSHING IT DOWN THE TOILET. like another poster said before me, toilets don’t care what you feed it.

Johnathon: “To all you bleeding hearts, if you truly knew how much food is wasted daily, you’d have a kiniption. And if you consume meat, YOU contribute to the catastrophic environmental disaster that is attacking our earth. But no…you’d turn a blind eye to that and bitch about a box of cereal. And I’d bet you wouldn’t give up meat to do YOUR part to make this a better planet. The enemy is truly within.”

i KNOW food is wasted daily. i KNOW eating meat contributes to “the catastrophic environmental disaster that is attacking our earth”. I’m a vegetarian by religion. whats your excuse? this is just plain wasteful.
lol I bet you’re sitting on your high chair reprimanding everyone else about the “enemy being within” while having a juicy 40z steak all to yourself in your hummer while clubbing baby seals to death. pfft.

  52. anisa says:

    God made us omnivores
just because a plant can’t scream, is it not still a ‘living creature’?
Pitcher plants and Venus flytraps are carniverous plants. what the…? 😉
    has the world gone mad?!

  53. x says:

“God” didnt make us omnivores…we choose what to eat. I dont eat meat..my decision..not because someone/some book tells me not to.
and vin was referring to the effects of meat industry compared to effects of farming indsutry on the nature/environment. This has nothing to do with them being living or dead. I dont eat meat because of it being a living thing, I think everyone knows plants are just as alive as anything.
