Joe Fresh is opening their first flagship store and their grand opening is tomorrow! Joe is the brand of clothes that Loblaws has carried in their super centres for the past few years.
To celebrate the opening of this Joe Fresh Style® store we will be closing down Granville Street between Pender and Dunsmuir for an exciting, free concert on Saturday October 16, 2010 featuring some of Canada’s hottest talent including performances by Marianas Trench, Divine Brown, Stereos and Sweet Thing!

What time does it open!?
I believe 10 am but if you plan on being one of the first customers, I’m sure you’ll be getting there earlier! As a Vancouverite, it’s so cool and awesome for a Joe Fresh store to open. I like Esprit but sometimes their stuff is too darned expensive. Joe Fresh is similar in style and probably more affordable (although I wonder how it’ll compare to the clothing at Superstore?).

Madness, I thought the first standalone store was going to open in TO. At least that was the rumour when I worked at Loblaws.
Sally (and other readers in Ontario) there will also be a store opening in Mississauga’s Heartland town centre. Not sure when but it said so on the site a couple days ago.

There is a store in Toronto but it’s inside the Queen’s Quay Loblaws on the lower level. It is not a standalone shop, just another “dept” in the store. Same goes for the ones in Real Canadian superstores in Grimsby, Oakville and elsewhere.
Standalone means no poppa grocery store to buffet it from other clothing competitors on the block/mall strip.
