KFC Canada Coupons: Buy 1 Vegetarian Sandwich Get 1 Free

KFC Canada is now offering a Vegan sandwich. Peta and KFC Canada are together promoting the sandwich by offering a Buy one KFC Vegetarian Sandwich Get one free.  The coupon expires on September 30, 2008.

I usually hate Peta’s antiques antics and disgusting ways of pushing vegetarianism but I have to admit this is a decent offer.

UPDATE:

    You beat me! 😉

  2. Wendy says:

I think you mean ‘antics’ not ‘antiques’ Boo 😉

  3. anonymous says:

    how much are they each

  4. Boo Radley says:

    oops! fixed!
    Thanks Wendy!

    anonymous, I have no idea

  5. spoony says:

hmmm, i wonder if they’re any good… and how they cook them?

  6. Marc says:

they’re fried in chicken fat and contain beef broth, oddly enough.

  7. melissa says:

You say both ‘vegan’ and ‘vegetarian’ in your description of the sandwich: I think you just mean to say ‘vegetarian’. KFC doesn’t say it’s vegan (i.e. contains no animal or dairy products).

    🙂

  8. Boo Radley says:

According to Peta’s website, it’s Vegan:
    http://www.peta2.com/TAKECHARGE/t-kfc_canada_veg_chicken_sandwich.asp

Yet for some reason KFC calls it a vegetarian sandwich

  9. nis says:

doesn’t look very vegan with all the mayo oozing out.

  10. Sally says:

I think im going to pass hehe, meatless meat scares me 😉

Good deal for a lot of people though!

  11. Lee says:

Tres bizarre! Hard to believe there could come a time when PETA would endorse any food product from KFC. Never mind that should it be true they just make it in the same oils etc, there is no way it could qualify as vegan, and barely be acceptable as veggie. This should be interesting; thanks for the coupon link.

  12. Kathy says:

They’re actually the same price as the regular classic chicken sandwich at my local restaurant. I find it strange eating a soy burger at a fast food chain such as KFC which is purely chicken. It’s not bad might I add but I’m sticking with my chicken after this.

  13. Penelope says:

    I’m curious…

Has anyone actually had this sandwich? Did you like it? What did it taste like?

  14. Tsunade says:

I printed the coupon and took it to the KFC at Major Mackenzie and Bayview. They refuse to accept the coupon stating that they didn’t receive any notices from head office.

  15. Sally says:

Tsunade they probably didnt except it because if your KFC is run like ours there complete jerks and its a big deal even having to cook chicken.

  16. Genevieve says:

Thanks to the site for still having the coupon available to print off. A lot of other sites just have links to the peta site which no longer has the coupon. It may just be me though…
At the KFC I’ve gone to the burger is $3.29 and in a combo it is $5.29 which is the same as the classic burger they sell. It tastes pretty good!! To be honest, it tastes like chicken but they cook it where they cook the fries not the meat so no cross contamination! They do use the same tongs to handle all their food but you can’t have everything you want I guess. The first and second time I had it they used different sauces probably because it’s new and the person making it wasn’t sure so they made a judgement call. People must like it though, because one KFC I went to was sold out of them! It’s been out long enough now for the employees to know about the coupon and not give you a problem so if you live or visit Canada I would suggest giviing it a try!!

  17. Lee says:

As per Genevieve, I have also tried it. Yet contrary to their being ‘sold out’, I was the only one ordering that day – both times! It takes 10 minutes till they can be ready, and though not terrible, they are NOT vegetarian and DEFINITELY NOT vegan in any way. While the contents of the ‘burger’ ARE veg, they cook it in the same oil as the fries and every other thing they make aside from the chicken. Which doesn’t keep it veg… So if this is your requirement, don’t bother; however, at $3.49 for 2 (no mayo and a tonna ketchup) its alright for a quick bite when you’re out and about. And no problems with the coupons either.

  18. Adam says:

I received about three advertisements with coupons at my local KFC/Taco Bell combo restaurant and the above coupon is available on it. They might just have some at the register if there are any debates about the validity of the website’s coupon.

  19. Sam says:

I work at KFC and we do honour these coupons, and yes unfortunateley we do cook these in the same oils.If you are wondering about the taste, I’d compare them to the Classic Sandwich we sell. As for it taking 10 minutes, these are put down for 3.5 minutes and at our store we make then to order so they are fresh evertime. If someone waited 10 minutes,it must of been a crazy rush time….should be in and out with order in less that 5 minutes.

  20. E says:

I tried using this coupon in the KFC located inside a mall and the supervisor said that they don’t accept coupon printouts from the computer. Where else can we get this coupon?

  21. joe says:

i could only find coupons for in the states. If that is the way they run
kfc, I think Canadians should no longer buy from them. Let them go back to the states where they belong.

  22. bhupinder says:
