if anyone looking for dead cheap Mega Bloks toys, and you are living close to Mississauga, try to find amazing deal in Square One Walmart, they always have instore special (yes, only in that location) toys, and they always ask for less than $10 for regular price over $30+
Sorry to be a downer to everyone, but the quality of Mega Bloks is awful. That’s probably why they are so cheap compared to Lego. My sons have many sets of Mega Bloks and Lego products and their products are like night and day. Mega Bloks may be good for imaginative play with assorted blocks, but when your child gets into buying special sets, the Mega Bloks does not hold well together at all. My sons have trouble building them because they will constantly fall apart and they will not hold together after completion. Some of their figures have joints that are almost impossible to fit together or the plastic joints will easily break and will end up missing a piece. While all the sets they build with Lego, fit together so well that they hold together even when they play with them after completion. So Lego is worth the price while Mega Bloks is a waste of money… That’s just my two cents.
The whole point with Mega Bloks is that you can’t give Legos to someone under four years old. Sure, when my boys get older I will get them some Legos if they are interested. But while they are young, MegaBloks is sufficient for them. I’d rather big, crappy quality blocks than a choking child.
