Recall Health Canada recalls Cuisinart Food Processor for Riveted Blades! The food processor’s riveted blade can crack over time and small metal pieces of the blade can break off into the processed food. This poses a laceration hazard to consumers.
This recall involves the riveted blade in Cuisinart food processors with model numbers that begin with the following: CFP-11, DFP-7, DFP-11, DFP-14, DLC-5, DLC-7, DLC-8, DLC-10, DLC-XP, DLC-2007, DLC-2009, DLC-2011, DLC-2014, EV-7, EV-10, EV-11, and MP-14. The model number is located on the bottom of the food processor.
As of November 30, 2016, the company has received 10 reports of cracked or broken riveted blades in Canada, including 2 reports of mouth laceration or tooth injury. In the United States, the company has received 69 reports of consumers finding broken pieces of the blade in processed food including 30 reports of mouth lacerations or tooth injuries.
Approximately 300,000 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the food processor’s riveted blade and contact Conair Consumer Products ULC for a free replacement blade.
Amazon Prime Video is finally available to Canadians. Yes, I know that there have been work arounds, but for those who prefer to keep it legal you can now access Amazon’s original content plus additional shows and movies as part of your Amazon Prime membership.
While this isn’t enough to make most people pay for Prime if you don’t use it for the free shipping, it is a nice added bonus to help recoup some of the $79/year cost. Plus one that US Prime members have enjoyed for some time .
The selection of shows is smaller than you will be used to if you previously accessed Amazon Prime Video on a US account. Full details and accessto your Amazon Prime Video account can be found here. You can sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime through this link, which seems to be working even if you have previously used a prime trial.

We have a sneak peek of the Shoppers Drug Mart flyer, valid for the week of December the 17th to the 22nd. Yes, this flyer is only valid until Thursday next week, so keep that in mind when you receive your Friday offer. Nothing will be on sale on Friday, December the 23rd.
If you still have Christmas shopping to do you can also load up on the Optimum points this Saturday, December the 17th. For one day only, receive 20x the Optimum points when you spend $100 or more on nearly anything in the store. This is double the usual spending threshold for a 20x the points event, but this time of year there is never enough time and plenty of rushing around, so while you may pay a little bit more in price for some things at Shoppers, if you can do some one stopping shopping here, the 20x the Optimum points will probably offset some of the higher prices.
There is also a two day sale on Saturday and Sunday with items like Lays chips for $1.77, and Royale or Cashmere bathroom tissue for $4.49. These are great items to help you reach that spending threshold of $100, but keep in mind the limit of four on the two day sale items.
We have your list of deals on baby items in the flyers for the upcoming week of December the 16th to the 22nd. As the flyers become available we will add to list, and feel free to let us know if you spot a great deal! Save on
A couple of new coupons are available this afternoon through the Kraft Canada coupon portal. Save $1 on the purchase of Diana Sauce or Marinade, any variety, and save $1 on the purchase of one jar of Kraft All Natural Peanut Butter.
The All Natural Peanut Butter is often included in the sale when Kraft regular peanut butter is advertised. It just happens to be a smaller size jar though so keep that in mind. As for Diana Sauce, $2 is a very, very common sale price and you will most certainly be able to pick it up for $1 or less with this coupon. If you are serving any type of meatball appetizer this holiday season, Diana Sauce is a fabulous accompaniment.
Coupon available through the Kraft portal may be printed once each per account, although you may have more than one account per household.
