Here is a great deal from Loblaws Quebec this week that is certainly worth mentioning. From now until December the 2nd, Loblaws Quebec has Garnier Fructis hair care advertised for $1.99. This is the lowest sale price I have seen on this item for quite some time, as a typical sale price on this item week in and week out is $2.99.

There have been many printable coupons available for Fructis products throughout the year, although I can’t seem to find any that are still around. There are tear pad coupons out there though for $1 off Garnier Fructis products. I have found them several times this year at Shoppers Drug Mart locations. They are smallish, square coupons, so have a good look for them in your stash. Use this coupon and pay just 99 cents for Garnier Fructis products.

Ontario is set to get rid of Eco Fees and put more pressure on producers/manufacturers to reduce waste and pay for the recycling fees that consumers have been charged for over the past years.  While some manufacturers may build this into the price, since this only impacts Ontario, it will be hard to differentiate prices between provinces online so we may see some slight discounts after fees.

The stewardship eco fee, which ranges from $0.07 for a cellphone to $39.50 for a big-screen television, is set with input from industry so shoppers must pay the levy even if it costs less to recycle a particular product, leading to once greener companies to stop bothering with green initiatives.  On top of this, some municipalities still charge for recycling these items, on top of the eco fee paid towards this, leading to complaints and less people recycling.

This will be a slow introduction, likely over two or more years so it will not impact our Black Friday or Christmas shopping this year.

If you have a Tassimo brewer on your wishlist, Amazon have a great offer on a Tassimo T20 right now.  Pick one up for only $39.99, which is about as low at the price goes for new ones.  While the T20 is an older model, it is still a great starter model with a small footprint compared to many – great for small kitchens but holds 1.5L of water so you do not have to refill it between cups like some of the cheaper ones.

I switched to a Keurig this year, but I miss my T20 for frothy drinks and the extra counter top space.  The only thing I found lacking with it was the option to choose a 10oz mug instead of holding the button for extra water.
