During my trip to Walmart today, I came across something new that made me like Walmart just a little bit more, or perhaps a lot more. In the produce section, I stumbled upon this rack of assorted bags of produce, being cleared out for just $1 per bag!

The best part about this was that aside from a few overly ripe avocados, everything inside the bags was in really terrific shape. Each bag weighed several pounds and was either a mixture of fruits or vegetables. Since I needed three bananas anyhow, I grabbed the bagged on the bottom left, containing a few bananas, several lemons, and quite a few oranges. It was a fairly heavy bag of fruit, for just $1! Definitely have a look for clearance produce the next time you are in the store as these “grab bags” are an amazing deal, and from what I saw today, the quality was far superior to what most stores put on the reduced rack in terms of produce. I really hope this continues!

A few months ago, Loblaws Canada launched a new click & collect service that aims to save busy people time on their grocery shopping. The click & collect service allows you to do all your grocery shopping online and just pick it up in store! If you don’t have time to browse through all the aisles and aisles of goods, simply head online, choose what you need and let the Loblaws staff take care of all the hard work for you. All you have to do is schedule a pick up time and head in store to collect your items. The Loblaws site is very easy to shop on and they are offering over 20,000 items to choose from online.

Right now participating Loblaws stores are limited to these locations:

The site will ask for your credit card when you check out online, but you can use a different method of payment when picking up your items in store.

Here is an in store deal to watch out for the next time you are in Walmart. I just returned from my nearest Walmart Canada location where they had Still Spa Essentials body sprays on clearance for just $1. The regular price of these body sprays is $5.97, so they are practically giving them away for $1.

There were select varieties included, and it appears that they were previously being cleared out for $2, but have now dropped to $1. At this location there was a choice of Mango and Mandarin, or Coconut and Lime scents, both of which smelled fantastic. They were located on a back end cap, and not the usual location for these body sprays, in case you are looking for them. At $1 these are perfect stocking stuffers to put away for Christmas, or to include in gift baskets throughout the year.
