Blacks Canada has just updated their Blacks app and to promote the new update, they are bringing back one of their popular offers from before, or rather a new ‘update’ on their previous offer. About a week ago we posted about a sale that Walmart Canada was having on iPhone 5/5S cases that were being sold for just $3. While this was a great deal, it kind of left Samsung users (*cough myself) out of the loop. The much anticipated game from Nintendo, Spaltoon for Wii U, is set to be released in North America on Friday, May 29th, with many retailers selling the game for an average pre-order price of $69.99. After looking at this week’s flyer from Shoppers Drug Mart Canada, I noticed that they will be selling the same game, starting on Saturday, May 30th, for just $59.99.

Every other retailer I checked (Best Buy, Chapters Indigo, Walmart and Amazon.com) were selling Splatoon for Wii U for $69.99. Shoppers will not only be selling the game for $10 cheaper, but they will also be offering a 20x the Optimum Points event on Saturday. This means that instead of collecting 600 points on Splatoon (as $60 will provide you 10X the points), you will be getting about 12,000 points. That works out to being worth about $15 to be redeemed in the future, as 22,000 is worth $30 and 8000 points is worth $10, and 12,000 is just about in the middle of those two points.

Roots Canada is kicking off their mid-season sale for spring where you can pick up some hot new sale items, that have just been added, for up to 50% off their starting price. The only exclusions to this sale is that it will not include gift cards and items from Roots’ specialty collections, such as Tom Thompson, NFB, Mary Maxim, and Norquay Paddle.

Within the women’s section, most of the products that are marked down by the maximum rate of 50% off are the winter items that are still hanging around, like these cozy fleece leggings (now $24.98) and cashmere fleece pants (now $64.98). That being said, I was still fortunate enough to find some good deals on products that are from more recent seasons.
